Description of 1976 Ford F-150 Ranger |
My wife and I are about to purchase our first home so unfortunately I am forced to sell my 1976 Ford F-150. I would not think twice about hoping in it right now and driving it across country. It has the Big Block FE 390V8 mated to the heavy duty C6 automatic transmission backed by the famous ford 9 inch rear end.The truck runs and drives amazing. It will start right up every time with the bump of a switch and is one of the smoothest and best running 390s I have seen. I am the 3rd owner of the truck. The original owner was a preacher and he hardly put any miles on it during the time he had it. When he died he left it to a older gentleman who goes to my church who used it primarily to hual off trash and to drive around town. From what I have been told it is the original mileage and the odometer has never rolled over. That being said it has just a little over 27,000 original miles! It does not seem to leak or burn any oil or transmission fluid. The truck is equipped with power steering and power brakes. The interior is decent all the lights and gauges work perfectly. The driver side of the bench seat shows wear. The carpet is sun faded and it has the original Ford floor mats from the dealership!!As shown in the pictures there is rust in a few areas but overall the truck is solid. The floor pans are in great shape and thanks to the camper cover that has been on it since it was purchased originally the bed floor is basically perfect. Interior and exterior trim all in pretty good shape. It is a Ranger package F-150 which was top of the line at the time to my knowledge. The only issue I know of on the truck is the radio does not work. I have recently done a full tune up on it and went through the carb. Iv also replaced the brake booster and master cylinder. All of the tires are in decent shape however they are all different brands at the moment they all the same size though. But I would replace them with at matching set at some point. If you are looking for a cool ass truck that you can hop in and drive anywhere with out having to worry about a rock scratching the paint or getting caught in the rain this is the perfect truck for you. It would make a perfect daily driver, shop truck, or even week end cruiser. Its a true pleasure to drive and gets countless thumbs ups and compliments around town every time I take it out. This is a jump in and go road ready all original unmolested bad asssurvivor truck that is ready for a new home. I live in Honea Path SC 29654 if you would like to come look at it in person or cruise it around prior to purchase. Otherwise feel free ton contact me on here or directly at 864-760-91267 if you have any questions or concerns about the truck. Happy Bidding and Happy New Years!! |
