1957 Ford Thunderbird Listed on behalf of Monte Shelton Motors Located in PORTLAND, OREGON. This Thunderbird was produced May 1, 1957 at the Dearborn plant. Serial # D7FH278860. While the early history of the car is unknown, it was acquired by a prominent Thunderbird collector in the Pacific Northwest and underwent a full restoration about 15 years ago to a very high standard. Stripped and repainted in correct "Raven Black", all chrome was re-plated and trim polished. Body is RUST FREE. Excellent white convertible top and black porthole hardtop. The interior was re-upholstered in correct Raven Black/Colonial White pleated vinyl that shows beautifully today. Optioned with power windows, power seat, heater/defroster and upgraded AM/FM/Casette stereo. A very nice package. Please see photos. Mechanically, all components were rebuilt, including the 312 cubic inch, 245 horsepower V8 engine. Runs smoothly at all speeds. Please see video of engine running. This car is optioned with the Ford 3-speed manual transmission with OVERDRIVE. Shifts nicely and a real pleasure to drive. Rebuilt brakes stop the car smooth and straight. New wide whitewall RADIAL tires wrap the real chrome spoked wire wheels. 12,260 miles showing on the odometer are believed to be miles since restoration. Was part of a large collection of 55-56-57 'Birds and always properly maintained. This car is dialed-in and ready to enjoy today and for many miles to come.
