Description of 1966 Ford F-100

1966 F-100/250 a 2011 3.5L EcoBoost using a 6R80 6 Spd Automatic. This truck build has been called a F-100 but it started off as a F-250 and is titled as such. I purchased a wrecked 2011 F-150 with 6430 miles on it then started the painstaking transformation. The Chassis/Frame I purchased new from FoMoCO its a 126" W.B.

I used the Electronic Steering Rack & Suspension from the Donor F150 along with the large Brakes including ABS. This truck also has working Traction Control, Stability Control, Anti Skid, Anti Roll along with Trailer Sway Control as a 2011-14 F-150 would.

It may be out there but I am not aware of any 50+ year old vehicle that has all this technology built in.

It also has other creature comforts like Sync, The HVAC (Heating & Cooling from Donor F-150)

The dash is also from the Donor F-150 as are the seats, carpet. The seat upholstery has been changed to Black from Gray.

The rear axle assy is a new from Ford 9 3/4" with Limited Slip. Gearing is 3.15 which is perfect in a much lighter vehicle.

All of the rear suspension, springs, shocks, brakes & Axlesare new FoMoCo (donor was hit in rear & did not want to take a chance on used parts)

The driveshaft is also new FoMoCo (Tremor)

On top of the completed rolling chassis is a 1966 F-100/250 body that has been modified to accept the 2011 Quiet Steel Firewall along with the floor. This made it easier to mount the Ajustable pedals, Brake Booster~Master Cyl along with HVAC. Not to mention how much it helps keep engine bay noise at bay.

The Box has been shortened to fit the 126" W.B. Chassis, The box floor is new for a 2011-14 F-150 8' Bed but has been shortened to fit the newly shortened box and raised 6" to clear the late model chassis.

All wiring is 2011-14 including for tail lights, Fog Lamps, Headlights. All 1966 units were modified to fit the new wiring using 2011-14 Bulbs.

The Intercooler is a Custom Built unit starting with a 12" x 24" x 4" Garrett core. All hot piping is custom made from metal tubing.

The wheels are One Off Custom Built 18 x 8 with 8" Backspacing on Rear and 18 x 8 with 7.5" Backspacing on Fronts. Also custom made to accept the stock 1966 F-100 HubCaps. This allows all stock suspension and brake components from a 2011-14 F-150 to be utilized.

The Front bumper has been narrowed approx 3" to better fit the body. The 2011-14 FogLamps have been added to bumper. The bumper is actually built from multiple 1966-72 Bumpers to remove the license plate pocket to better accomodate the large Intercooler for the Twin Turbo's.

I have also added a Class V Trailer hitch which is rated at 10,500 lbs. It mounts in stock location for a 2011-14 F-150. I have towed as much as 8500 lbs and it & truck worked flawlessly.

At current the truck is tuned for use of E30 Fuel. Dyno numbers are 405 HP & 532 TQ at the TIRE! This was on a dyno where it was unable to load properly so I have seen better boost on the street. Unknown real HP numbers with full boost but obviously higher. Street PSI limited to 20 PSI Max. Tune is to Perfection by MPT. It drives runs like a total stocker until you squeeze the throttle.

Expected 1/4 mile in current status is 12 second range around 110 mph. Will not know until tested.

One might ask why am I selling? Simple answer HEALTH. I have struggled with serious health issues since shortly after starting this project nearly 5 yrs ago. I have come to the realization I will never be able to tear this thing down to paint and finish it.

I have owned over 300 different vehiles in my day and this is by far my favorite vehicle to drive. Exterior looks 50+ year old Truck but drives like a new truck. Because of the much lighter weight 4300 lbs it performs and handles like no other F-150.

This truck is by no means completed. It needs to be finished. Finalize welding of joints and seams, paint etc

I have put on approx 2600 miles since completion with zero issues.

The entire build can be seen on Garage Journal under Fabrication

Its also on YouTube.

Type in EcoBoost engine swap into google or to youtube and it will show up.

YouTube channel has been viewed in 172 different countries . . .

If Questions please ask PRIOR to bidding. Truck sold "As is" no guarantee of any kind. Spend the time reviewing the build then YOU decide if its something you want to own & finish.

Yes, It will be a very very sad day to see this truck go but I have to quit kidding myself thinking my health would hold long enough to finish it.

Nearly 5 yrs of waiting for health to return is enough.

Buyer will all shipping arrangements.

I have also added the capless fuel system and door adapted from the '11-'14 F150 with exception of the fuel door itself from a 2008 Super Duty because it was metal vs plastic on the F150. A better pic showing the Custom bumper with integrated fog lamps from the '11-'14 F-150 along with Custom Made Intercooler. This is area the box was shortened. All metal finished so no filler needed. This is the new 2011-'14 F150 Floor being installed. Its a 8' shortened slightly to fit. Custom pieces fore and aft of wheel tubs have already been made. The just need to be welded in. A laser was used to get box floor in proper location. Metal prepping the body. There is no coating, clear or anything else on the bare metal. Just a final wipe before any primer is applied. This is the Custom Made Intercooler & Piping Rolling Chassis I purchased a brand new frame from FoMoCO. I did not like the finish so re-finished the entire frame. This is prior to assembly. Front suspension and steering. Electronic assist power steering rack. ABS Pump Electronic steering rack
