Description of 1970 Ford Mustang Q code Mach 1

So what we have here is a real Q-code car in very good condition. HOWEVER. there is a story. I purchased this vehicle from a large "reputable" vintage car dealer a few months ago. I paid just shy of $60k. I'm not going to state here which dealer. but if you want to call me. I'd be happy to divulge that information as well as what I think of their business practices. I purchased this vehicle as a "done and driveable" car that I could enjoy with my son. I already have several projects that don't get enough of my time. While this vehicle is driveable as it sits (actually starts. idles & drives very well) and the interior is very nice. the bodywork leaves something to be desired in my humble opinion. It looks great from reasonably close to the casual observer. but there is just too much filler in this vehicle for my taste. I considered stripping it and doing a repaint. but I just do not have the enthusiasm for it. at all. So after staring at it for a few months and weighing all my options I have decided just to list it for sale rather than put it in line with all the other projects. The good news: It is a real Q-code big-block 4-speed car with a legit Marti report and a clear title. It is 1 of 320 made. The frame rails are solid. The floors (including trunk) are solid. The doors. hood and trunk open and close properly with no sag and no signs of damage or corrosion at the hinges. latches or pillars. The motor starts right away with no smoke. hesitation or fuss and it idles very well. Throttle response is crisp and the power is all there. The suspension is just fine. as is the power steering and brakes. The tires are near new and the wheels are beautiful. The interior is well above average and is all there. The steering wheel isn't in the best condition. but I have a fully restored. 1970 correct. rim-blow that I am including with the vehicle. Honestly. the vehicle shows well. but not well enough for my taste. The bad news: There is filler in the car. In the roof. The retainers for the rear louvers pulled out (that's why the louvers are not in the pictures). This vehicle belongs with somebody who has different expectations or who owns/works at a body shop. Again. I have plenty of projects. Good ones. Vehicle's that have sentimental value. This one does not hold any special place in my heart. so away it goes. SO. if you don't mind average body work and you want a genuine. truly rare big-block 4-speed car. this is a hell of a deal. If you're a body & fender person. this isn't just a great deal; it's a great investment. I'm not looking to get my money back; I'm looking to sell this vehicle to somebody for a fair price for what I feel it is and to do so with a clear conscience. If you have any questions. please feel free to contact me. Marc. at 808-652-9100 (text capable) or 808-246-9700 (non-text capable). One last thing: Yes. I am in Hawaii. If the buyer is not in Hawaii. I am willing to pay shipping to any major US west coast port (LA. San Diego. Portland. etc). Outside of that the buyer is on his/her own although I will. of course. assist in any reasonable way that I can.
