I have up for sale a 1965 Ford Galaxie 500. this car has been modified . The modifications are as follows : 1) 390 engine has 3/4 race cam with Edlebrock aluminum heads. Offenhauser Porto sonic manifold . large tube headers . the headers have holes in them from moisture that was trapped by a heat wrapping. Compression ratio is un know . 2) C6 Automatic trans built to a higher standard along with a stall converter spec is un known3) 9 inch Ford posi rear was told it was a locker . it has strange axels . gear ratio is un known. 4) the stock electrical and heating system were removed in favor of panel switches and trunk mounted battery with external shut off . 5) Fuel system is stock fuel tank with a electric fuel pump mounted on fire wall feeding a 850 holley 4bbl. 6) Electric cooling fan in place of stock fan . 7) floor mounted trans go shifter (needs to be remounted to floor they did not do a good job screwing it in but it does work)8) car was originally a bench seat these were replaced with correct year Galaxie bucket seats . 9 Body is all stock and comes with all trim including NOS rocker mouldings . All trim including grill is in excellent shape . The body needs very little work the car is fairly straight and 95% rust free . Rust is limited to the following a small 5 inch section where the truck seal sits. a small strip in the drivers front toe board and two small spots on each quarter visible in pictures. The frame is very clean with no rust! 10) Both front and rear bumpers are straight they could use chroming as there dull . 11) The wheels are 15X8 Torque Thrust wheels with Goodyear Eagle tires . This would be a nice street machine . it needs someone to take it to the next level it is a great starting point in that the drive line is already rebuilt and that rebuild is to a very powerful spec. The body is a good solid and straight starting point . you would not need a huge skills to get the body ready for paint and all the trim is there so you won't be spending a fortune trying to find moldings . I bought the car as you see it a few years ago at Carlisle this is why some specs are un-known. The car is available for viewing . Please call with any questions you might have 201-788-8997. Thanks!
