Description of 1989 Ford Mustang Lx convertible

Up for sale is my 89 mustang Lx 5.0 convertible, I bought this in a package deal with another mustang but this was the one I was after. Sadly I have come to the realization that I have way too many cars and have two other mustangs already so I am passing this one on for someone else to enjoy it. I bought this as I felt this was one of the ones that survived being wrecked or being modded or beat on. To give you a example of what I am talking about the ac still kicks on with r12 freon in it but kicks off as its a little low, how's that for crazy?
What I liked about the car was that the inner structure was straight which was almost impossible to find on a fox as they all have been hit in the front and normally hit hard. Furthermore it appears to be all stock with the exception of the airbox having been removed a aftermarket filter and smoked headlights being installed. Mileage shows over 85k my guess is its 185k? Runs like a fraction of that.
I checked the headlights, the blinkers etc, there doesnt seem to be any electrical gremlins, the rear windows did not work so I took some time and got them to work, all of the windows in the car works now.
The exterior of the car would clean up to look ok from 20 feet away but as it is almost 30 years old it has plenty of imperfections such as nicks, scratches, dings and pings, the worst one is under the passenger side mirror but I dont know if it will show up in pictures as it isnt very big. It does seem to be missing weatherstripping where the top of the door glass meeting the top, this is cheap and easy to locate. The passenger side window needs some adjusting to fit properly not sure what it up there. This has been a Tn car its entire life so rust is not a issue.
Since it is so cold here and the spigot is frozen I was unable to wash the car, what your seeing all over the car is ashes from where I was burning some cardboard floating through the air and settling on the car. This of course will wash off. Most people try and take pictures when the car is wet so it looks better than what it is, not with this one.
I can in no way point out every flaw in the car, it will need to be repainted to look its best. It does look to have had a repaint before sometime in its life. There is no MAJOR damage to the exterior of the car such as panels needing replacement or rust but will need to be painted and have have minor bodywork done. You can drive and enjoy as it though.
Engine and transmission are rock solid and both work great, no smoke no knocks etc. The 5 liter runs very smooth with no issues. It should drive home no problem if the car had good tires but it will need them, they will hold air for a while and certainly long enough to load on a trailer. There are two tires shops within a mile of the car where you could have some good used tires put on.
The interior is honestly what I expect out of a sub 100k car, it is actually in pretty good shape but not perfect. Just some cleaning would have it looking great. The car is complete but it does not have a stereo in it. I think the drivers seats does have a small slit in it and a rub area other than that the interior is in good but not perfect condition.
This car was bought from a auction from carmax and I have all of the paperwork from the dealer I bought this from to register and get a title. I took this to the dmv before buying it to make sure it was in order, the dmv said it was so I went ahead and bought the car.
The top is brand new and has never been taken down, it was installed by a novice(not me) several months ago. It will need some tweaking here and there to be 100%, the old one had to go. Honestly I dont remember if the power top works as I have never tried it, but I think it does.
Both door pins have been replaced as the doors were sagging and didnt close right, my neighbor who put these in somehow and for no reason I can think of messed up how the doors open from the exterior. I think when he was banging on the door pins the door rods mustve come loose, if I get time I will address this its a easy fix.
The car must be picked up at my house in Portland within two weeks of auction close, if you need more time than that please discuss this with me BEFORE the auction ends. A 500.00 non refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of auctions end, what this means that regardless on whether or not you take the car or complete the transaction the 500.00 is not refundable for any reason.
Please ask any all all questions BEFORE you buy, this car is almost 30 years old and I am trying to be very transparent about the car and what it is. My number will be listed here and you can reply by email or even text. Please do not leave any stone unturned when asking questions I want you to be happy about what your buying. I have the reserve set for the car really low, please bid what you are willing to pay. While I need the space I certainly dont need the money so please dont bother lowballing me, Im not that guy trying to make the mortgage. My business cell is 615 400 0185 and it with me at all times, please no calls after 10 pm cst or before 7am cst.
You could throw some tires on it and probably ride off into the sunset but remember it is a 1989 model not 2017 and I would recommend going over it with a fine tooth comb before taking it on a long trip, I have only driven it around the yard and up the street. These cars unmolested are almost unheard of heres your chance to get one. These cars are very tough, dependable and cheap/easy to work on I have owned several hundred of these, yes I said several hundred I wish I were kidding lol.
I would keep this car really I would but with 2 other mustangs and 14 other vehicles I need to thin the heard as we will be moving in a few months. Im not sure my new neighbors will like my cool cars as much as I do. And because I know people will ask I am not looking to trade as I need the room, unless you have a nice harley( no sportsters) Look for more of my toys to be listed soon as I have a bunch of them.
Please do not ask what I will take for the car unless you are standing in front of me with cash in hand, then we can talk. I don't negiotate via email or phone. Cash in person talks and will get my attention. I reserve to end the listing early as it MIGHT be listed on other sites for sale, if the car meets the reserve before it sells elsewhere I will leave it on ebay.
Thanks for looking, God bless America and President Trump!

I went back through my paperwork and realized that I do in fact have the title to the vehicle along with a certification of sales under special conditions due to it being a repossession vehicle. Also noticed the car does have bbk headers as well. I will also be lowering the reserve on the car so bid to win.
