This is a really solid 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 retractable convertible that has been in inside storage since 1966. It retained rear body damage back in the day and was parked awaiting repairs that have yet to come. This is your chance to own an example of Fords retractable convertable that was one awesome vehicle in the day — and it could be your awesome vehicle of today. This 57 has it’s 292 Y block V8 engine with it’s automatic trans and it runs good. The car is a power brake car, a power steering car, the radio plays, the lights work and it has an “M” grill guard too which we do not see much any more. We do not know for certain what the mileage is but the odometer shows 56,700 and it looks like it could be correct. The floors are exceptional with very little rust as one can see by the pictures, the left rocker will need a short length of rust repair on it’s forward end while the right rocker looks good. There was an old repair behind the left rear tire at it’s lower area so that will need attention, probably need to do both sides behind the rear tires. We have a nice undamaged back panel that will go with the car if a person would choose to replace the damaged back panel instead of repairing the original one. The top does not work as it was partially disconnected after the accident but all the parts are with the car. I am sure there will be other areas on this fliptop that you may want to address in the cars future but as the 57’s go, this one is way better than alot we get to work on for sure. As this car sits, it will start, stop with it’s brakes and drive up on your trailer if you are the lucky bidder. Look at the pictures and do let us know if you have questions and thank you for looking. A 500.00 nonrefundable deposit is due 48 hours from auction end and remaining balance due within 5 days of auction end by cash or bank wire transfer. Shipping fees are buyers expense. This car is located in west central mn..
