The F350 Super Camper Special was introduced in 1973 to meet the demands of heavier payloads and the larger campers of the 70's. The most noticeable feature of the Super Camper was the extended 140 inch wheelbase, which was designed to better distribute additional weight. Other features included a stronger frame, stabilizer bars, dual batteries, heavy duty alternator, transmission cooler and a side mounted spare tire. This F350 Super Camper Special has only 89k Original Miles on it and is in Fantastic Condition inside and out. It has been a Pacific Northwest truck its entire life, which explains the rust free body and chassis. All of the body panels appear to be original and show no sign of rust, corrosion or abuse. The bed has been lined with Linex. Our customer purchased it from the Estate of the Original Owner, a Factory Ford Mechanic. It has been very taken care of mechanically and cosmetically, which was helped by always being stored indoors in a climate controlled environment. The Original Owner placed service stickers on the drivers side door panel, which are still intact. He also installed a Factory Ford locking mechanism for the hood that is operated from inside the cab. The paint shows well but has some obvious fading due to oxidation. All of the electronics work, signals, lights, hazards, am radio, wipers, fan, defrost, heater, interior lights and horn. The interior appears to be all original, including; door panels, headliner, seat covers, floor covering, dash, visors and trim. Both windows roll down effortlessly and both wing windows work smoothly. All gauges appear to read accurately and work accordingly, including; fuel gauge, temp gauge, amp meter, oil pressure, odometer, speedometer. There was an aftermarket digital thermometer installed. It starts on the first crank and runs very smoothly, it also drives incredibly well for a 43 year old truck. The power steering adds to that experience. There is also an Edelbrock Carburetor and electronic ignition, for smoother starts. It is powered by a 390 V8, with recent work including; New Master Cylinder, New Brakes, New Positioning Valve, Brake Flush, Red Head Steering Gear, New Tie Rods and ends, New Kingpins and bushings, New Fuel Pump, New Battery. It sits on Mickey Thompson Baja STZ's that are New. We also have the Original Owners Manual and 2 Keys.
