1949 chopped Ford Custom Shoebox, believed to have originally been customized in the mid-fifties with a roof chop, side skirts and lowered. Faithfully restored to a period-correct mid-fifties level with a no-expense spared nut and bolt build by the infamous customizer Miguel Torres and his team. Paint scheme from the original build updated with purple-blue mica pearl and white pearl side scallop. We added other period-correct custom touches such as front panel from a 1950 Mercury, floating grille-bar from a 1952 Dodge Coronet, front and rear bumpers from 48 Plymouth, "nosed and decked" - all emblems and trim removed, frenched front and rear lights, radiused corners on hood, trunk and doors, relocated gas filler cap to inside the trunk (double-skinned to avoid fumes in the trunk or cabin), steering wheel from 50 Ford and full "Tijuana Tuck and Roll" custom interior including trunk. Engine, transmission and suspension are stock other than conversion to 12 volt but have been completely restored. I have driven this car up and down the California West Coast with no problems over the last 18 months but it's time to sell to fund a 32 Ford Roadster project. Serious buyers email me for link to 100+ photo album of the build., Happy to ship to Europe, NZ or Australia.
