Description of 1957 Ford Fairlane Original

A 1957 Ford Fairlane converted to a 1960s Gasser-style drag car, but is road registered, and has been driven to various car showswithin the State of Texas. All vehicle information is correct and will be sold as described. The drivetrain includes an FE 390 c.i. rebuilt by the well known Salas Engine Rebuilders in Mercedes, TX. Automatic C6 Transmission, 3000 stallconverter, with shift kit. Richmond Gears with Strange Racing Axles. American Racing VN474 Gasser polished aluminum wheels with frontrunners and Towel City 10" Pie Crust Cheater Slicks. Edelbrock Performance intake(single carb). It is a well-running car, even in the Texas heat. Straight axle, 5 lug, 4" 3/4 Chevrolet bolt pattern, runs the tires straight. Front disc brakes, removable dual bearing flip-front for easy motor access. Original bench seats, inside window panels, windows, window cranks, windshields(no cracks, framing is rust free), steering column, steering wheel, and keys. All instrumentation minus original speedometer are wired.Comes with turn signals, low and high beams, car horn, driver racing harness, and front passenger seat belt.12-gallon fuel cell properly sealed and filtered, mounted inside the trunk(no fumes enter the passenger compartment). Battery and kill switch are located inside the trunk as well. Silver traction bars, clear coated. There is no audio system, as the open fender wellexit headers provide more than enough noise, but are resonated. The body and frame are straight, bottom of the body and inside fenders are coated to prevent corrosion, theroof is ready for paint, thefloor has been patched but not carpeted, just needs some minimal rust repair towards the bottom of the trunk and about 5 inches along the rocker panels just in front of the rear wheels(there are some holes from previous rear view mirrors that can be filled). The scoop is not molded onto the hood but it might be done by the time the car is sold. Rear door handles are shaved off. Clean and clear Texas title. I have always fed it super unleaded. Feel free to ask any questions. Payment can be made by cashier's check, cash, or PayPal.
