Description of 1975 Ford Mustang II Ghia |
We have a ton more photos on Dropbox, please see this link: <="" div=""> This car was purchased with a few other 1970's cars for a film production and was just recently used in an upcoming episode of "Future Man", an new show on Hulu. Please keep your eye on eBay for a 1972 Ford Maverick and a 1975 Ford F-250 that we will be listing soon. This 1975 Ford Mustang II shows 91k miles and has spent its entire life in Southern California. This well-preserved all-original specimen was cherished by the same owner for over 30 years, but was not driven regularly or registered since 1990, until it was recently restored. a 2.3-liter single-overhead cam inline 4-cylinder engine paired to a 3-speed automatic, this is truly a rare find. This Mustang II was purchased as a donation to a salvage auction, so the title was revived as a salvage title even though it has never been in any accidents. It carries current California tags that are registered through March of 2018, and will never need to be smaogged.
The Mustang II was designed as Ford's solution to the gas crisis of the 1970's: It adds a sensible fuel-efficient drivetrain while retaining classic, sporty Mustang muscle car styling. This 4-cylinder cruiser gets an impressive 25 MPG in the city and 31 MPG on the highway, which was groundbreaking for its time. Meanwhile, it still has enough pep to easily pass trucks while gliding at 70 mph on the freeway.
The all-original paint is a wonderful metallic coffee brown as part of the Ghia trim package. Thanks to the famous Italian design firm Carrozzeria Ghia, in the 1970's Ford made a limited release of upgraded cosmetic features. In this Mustang, the Ghia package equals a limited-edition paint color, a vinyl landau top, extra plush seating, and even shag carpet.
This Mustang runs and drives extremely well, and would be a great candidate for a show car if someone wanted to invest only a little more time and money into it. The Ford Lima 2.3 liter 4-cylinder engine was made in the Lima Ohio engine plant, and is an example of the first all-metric engine manufactured by Ford. The automatic transmission shifts smooth in all gears. Factory installed power steering works great.
This gem is a restored barn find that was brought back to life after sitting for many years. The current owner has invested thousands of dollars and over a hundred hours into the restoration, bringing a showroom shine back to the exterior, and making it so mechanically sound it could easily be driven as a daily driver. Upgrades include:
Fuel System: New fuel pump, new fuel tank sending unit, new soft fuel lines, carburetor adjusted, gas tank acid washed and coated, new vacuum lines
Given the rarity of pristine 1975 Ford Mustangs in the world, stellar examples like this do not come up for sale very often. At this price it should sell quickly. |
