Description of 1930 Ford Model A Tudor Sedan |
1930 Ford Model A. Highly original, very solid, rust-free, all steel car. Spent a very significant part of its long life in sunny southern California, which is certainly part of the reason behind the excellent state of preservation. Uncommon Tudor sedan body style wearing an attractive Kewanee Green 2-tone paint scheme with straw-yellow wheels. Approx. 2,300 miles now showing on the odometer (likely reset after restoration at some point). No documentation attesting to restoration work, but the car still presents nicely, is great fun to drive and will cruise all day. Pleasure driven only on sunny weekends. Original, stock 3.3L 4-cyl. engine delivers plenty of torque. Starts quickly and runs/drives as an original Model A should. Zero exhaust smoke, even on a cold start. 3-speed manual transmission. Very nice interior shows little wear. Includes expensive, rare external trunk as seen in photos (not currently mounted, but in very good condition). What's it like to own? Well, I can say without reservation this car is a massive attention getter. No kidding. A lime-green Lamborghini Aventador with Christie Brinkley driving in a bathing suit and a small circus elephant as the passenger wouldn't draw as many stares as this does cruising down the road! Prepare for an endless string of 'thumbs-up' and plenty of questions when you're out cruising or just relaxing at shows. Take it to pick up a pizza and random folks engage in conversation for 20 minutes. While all ages seem to appreciate it, for some reason kids in particular absolutely can't get enough of it. Want to pry them off the iPad or smartphone for a couple hours? Just say, "let's go for a ride in the A"! Every trip is a mini-event indeed. Back to the particulars: Original klaxon 'ahhhoooga' horn. Reliable, updated 12-volt electrical system is the only known deviation from stock. Overall condition is clean driver quality, particularly for an 87-year old vehicle, with some noted cosmetic flaws if inspected with a microscope, such as minor checking and some swirls in the black fender paint, along with the common chips here and there commensurate with age and careful use. The car has not been detailed, only hand-washed and always garaged as you might expect. Nice chrome. Very bright, functional headlamps. The high-resolution photos were literally just taken this week and I believe accurately convey all aspects of the car. Will also provide a large car cover to the lucky new owner. Not a distress sale, but unfortunately the time has come where the car must be sold. A small deposit is requested from the buyer immediately with balance paid in full within 7 days unless other arrangements are made in advance. No offense, but I've heard all the scams before so we won't be accepting Western Onion, third-party post dated checks drawn on a Bolivian bank, a dump truck full of Rupee's, or any number of interesting trades as partial payment. Good 'ole American green works well though. On a more serious note, any questions not covered in the listing, please feel free to ask. Currently still CA tagged and titled, but car is physically now located in southern NJ. Local inspections in person are encouraged and welcomed prior to the end of the listing. Please view my excellent feedback rating built over nearly 20 years of transactions with the Ebay community, including the sale of another high ticket automobile last year to a very satisfied buyer, and purchase with confidence. Thanks for your interest. |
