Description of 1970 Ford Torino GT |
70 Ford Torino GT FASTBACK351C/4V Heads, C6 Transmission/ 9" Rear end -----Good Points-------Solid Southwest Car from CaliforniaPretty Darn near rust freeBoth side Rocker arm panels are very solid and rust freeThe drivetrain and mileage at 29,299 is believed to be original...but I cannot confirm thatOriginal Paint and GT graphics Motor has a fresh rebuild which includes the following new parts... felpro gaskets, carb studs, ARP intake bolts, Edelbrock 4V intake, Mr. Gasket thick intake and header gaskets, Holley 750 carb, small base HEI distributor, coil, and wires, valve cover studs, Dorman Harmonic balancer, AftermarketElgin E953P cam...204/114, 486/512 lift 282/292 duration, lifters, timing chain, $350 Kieth Black KB Performance dished pistons, water pump, starter, fuel pump, Stock converter, shift kit in c6 Grant 13.5" steering wheel with installation kitNew 18' positive battery cable...it's been relocated to trunk, new neg. cableAll glass is in great shape (absolutely nothing cracked or brokenInterior is all there and believed to be original but needs to be redoneBackseat might be able to be left alone for a driverAftermarket B&M shifter installedNew Summit one chamber mufflers Motor runs great, Car stops and steers. I have only driven it around the block, but not fast enough to go through the gears so I cannot guarantee that the transmission shifts through all the gears (but I wouldn't doubt it's probably in great condition like the motor)...if I do drive it again before listing ends I will update. **For the right offer, I will include a (separate/not installed) complete 9" Center section pumpkin with factory 3:70 gears and brand new Richmond lock right locker installed 28 spline (still needs to be set up). This part would really compliment the rest of the drivetrain...would make it a nice driver with a little bite and attitude for the occasional track use! -----Needs work-------Needs bodywork...Front passenger fender has a lot of dents...and same side fender extension damagedFloors are very solid, but looks like some rust started on drivers side floor toe area? and previous own pop rivited a 6"x10" plate to cover itHood has a small dent on very front middle area (looks like an easy fix)Passenger rear quarter has some dents and rustTrunk lid, brake light area, and rear bumper were all hit in a tree falling incidentNo hood hinges...hood will have to be strapped down for transportationAlthough I installed a new cylinder key lock in the ignition, it still needs a new ignition switch as well as a new turn signal switch assembly. I remote start the engine on the outside of the car at the solenoid.Area around back glass is in very good shape...but at the very bottom corners of trim if it's left unpainted...could be an area of concern soonTires are shot, two hold air, one doesn't hold for long, and one is falling apartRims are stock 14x7 rally style wheels, have been cleaned and painted black, 4 beauty rings but only 3 hubcaps are includedwindshield wiper motor not presentStock steering wheel is goneFront grille is missing, was the model for hideaway lights, but all those parts are goneI do have the headlight bucket that is not present in the picsNeither passenger nor drivers door closes good, the passenger one being the worst...looks like the door latch on the inside side of door is brokenGas tank gas a 3-4" hole on the bottomAll suspension bushings and parts will need to be addressed as they are all originalCalifornia title is clear and open and signed but dated 2005You shouldn't find any surprises as I feel I have been very honest and detailed on the info of this car --------------------Cool and rare car to get on the road soon and drive while you work on it...or do a complete restore, or cobra clone, big block, 4 speed...keep or flip. I recently found my dream car to restore....I have always wanted a Torino, but it is not my dream car.Feel free to text me at 915-731-2492 (my name is Ken)I can send you a couple videos of Motor running/Reving or any additional pics you might needI am willing to negotiate and sacrifice some on price but I am not going to give it away either. Please make a reasonable offer.-------------------Must pick up the car within two weeks at most.I will make myself available to be present and assist for pick up, and will strap down anything needed to be secure for transportation, but all shipping preparations and organizing is the buyers responsibility. |
