This is the seventh in a series of Hot Rods by SitsRight located in Reno, Nevada. Full-fendered all Ford 1930 Roadster. It's a real original California Roadster, not a Coupster. 351 Cleveland engine Ford AOD transmission Mustang 9" rear end All Ford running gear Rust repairs done All rebuilt and dialed in 4" dropped front axle with 4 bar and disc brakes Rear suspension is 4 bar with coil overs and drum brakes New driveshaft radiator with thermostatically controlled fan or manually switched. Tilt GM column with turn signals New 5 gauge instrument cluster Repo 32 steel dash Trunk mounted 15 gallon gas tank New battery Old school Ford wheels with caps and trim rings New steel rear fenders and original front fenders (quite saveable) New 1932 grill and grill shell Hot rod headlights with turn signals Repo 1939 Chevy tail lights Custom header with Flowmaster mufflers (sounds great!) New panels above and below trunk. Had been converted to truck during WWII for gas rationing benefit. Great patina with brush marks. Typical of 40's - 50's paint jobs with paint brush. Original paint job is blended into new patch panels. Built as 50's era Rat Rod, but body could be glazed, blocked and painted if so desired. All interior panels, kick, doors and quarter panels, are made and covered with trunk liner. Could be recovered with something nicer. All floors are new steel All sub rails in great condition / boxed frame Original frame is fully boxed with new custom rear cross member. Car could be painted and reupholstered and be worth 30k-40k. I've had many people tell me to leave it alone. Must sell...another project has my attention. |
