Description of 1969 Ford Mustang MACH1 |
This was a project I bought, come to find out I can tell this car was in an accident and the previous owner did the repairs. I noticed a lot of stuff was done wrong so I redid a lot of the metal work and some I just left alone and there's one section that needs to be redone. the stuff that was done and left alone was the driver side trunk drop off, cowl section, and the floor pans. I redid the full quarter passenger side, driver side quarter, front window pillar and door pillar passenger side, the rockers are original which were nice. I reskined another set of doors that were nice on the inside, got a mach1 hood, nice fenders, and the rest of the stuffwas with the car. The section that need to be done is the passenger side shock tower, battery apron, and inner apron. who ever did it, welded the shock tower(from a different car) on about an 1/2 inch to the back. It has to be done by someone who knows what they're doing. You can reuse the shock tower and battery apron but I would replace the inner apron, that's why the fender holes don't match up only the first hole. Then everything will fit nicely. I purchased a motor and tranny out of a 1969 mustang m code motor. I paid 1500 for the set, it came out of a running car, ran and drove great, no smoke, I was just going to reseal and paint it and put it in.(so no to the original motor and tranny), I have all the glass nothing is set in, its pretty much a complete car you will need some odds and ends, no rubber seals in place, which you will have to do. the brakes were switched to disc brakes out of 1969 mustang, a lot of new parts put in. I put a lot of time and money into this car much more than the asking price. NEW PAINT JOB: IT WAS LIGHTLY WET SANDED AND CUT IN, It could use some more wet sanding cut and buffing and it will look a lot nicer, I noticed that the valances and end caps are darker shade, Idon't know what the painter did but if you want it redone I do have extra paint(it all came from the same gallon of paint) there are about 4 coated of clear, this car is not the high end paint job but it not the low end, its middle off the road some small issues not concourse or trailer queen but an excellent driver quality.
