A real old school hotrod out of sixties Detroit. Originally built by a Ford fuel systems expert and drag racer. Built to show and go, last engine combo was a 428 police interceptor and C6 out of GT-500 Shelby which is long gone. Now powered by 625hp 482 ci tunnelport stroker built with only top shelf parts. Car is still wearing the flames and pin stripes laid down by legendary custom car painter Wild Bill Betz in 1968, best known for pin striping all of the Hurst Olds in 68 and 69. This car is has a lot of history and is one of a kind. Still has the Ansen sprints, now with repop Hurst pie crust cheater slicks out back. Count less hours in to new all steel floors,boxed frame with X member removed and chromoly girdle installed, becausecarhad been cut to run different engine combinations with blowtorch and hammer massaging as it was done in the sixties.Firewall is a Bitchin four and half inch recessed panel to accommodate to shoe horn in the big FE engine. Suspension is a TCI mustang 2 rack and a Ford Thunderbolt style ladder bar rear. Pete and Jake coilovers on all four corner with Wilwood discs all around.Car is backed by a Richmond gear Super T-10 4 speed gear box with Quick time bell housing. Engine is a BBM sideoiler block with Dove aluminum tunnelport heads. For thoughs that do not what Tunnelport heads are, They were developed for the GT-40 program to go racing. They have tubes that run through the exhaustports leaving huge round ports.They became famous when Ford used them to win almost ever speedway Nascar race in 1969. They were strictlyover the counter race parts. Forged steel 4.250 stroker Scat crank,Carillo sport stars H rods, Diamond forged pistons making 10.5 to 1 compression to run on pump gas. Hardland Sharpe roller rockers and custom ground Oregon cams roller mech cam. Intake is a ultra rare dual plane factory intake with repop BC/BD 715 cfm medium riser Holley carbs. Billet specialtiesserpentine with AC, not hooked up at this time. Custom aluminum rad with electric fan that never over heats. The interior is as it was in 1968 but does not have a carpet in it. The back half of the car was painted in the early seventiesand the rear passenger fenderis a fiberglass piece in stalled when car was built. Paint has scars and patina as its nearly 50 years old. Car has Ron Francis wiring harness,Doug Carpenter running boards 16 gallon stainlesssteel tank.The car was put away in a garage for close to 35 years and rediscoveredin 2009. The early pictures are circa 68 with the car show one from 71. The only reason I,m selling is things have changed Financiallyfor me. There is lot I'm forgetting, have most receipts to prove costs.
