HE HAD OTHER CARS,SO THE THUNDERBIRD GOT LITTLE USE ON A REGULAR BASIS.HE DID,HOWEVER START AND RUN THE CAR ONCE OR TWICE PER MONTH,FOR MANY YEARS,TO KEEP IT GOING. .THE RUST FREE BODY HAS NO PATCHES OR NON FACTORY WELDS.THE JAMBS,INSIDE FLOORPANS AND HOOD ENGINE BAY ALL SHOW THE "ORIGINAL" FIRST TORCH RED FACTORY PAINT.IF YOU L;IFT UP THE CARPET OR TUNK MA, YOU WILL SEE FULL ON UNRESTORED TORCH RED PAINT STILL ON THE CREVICES AND FLOORS,...NEVER RESPRAYED .MUCH OF THE INTERIOR IS ORIGINAL,CHROME,DASHBOARD,AND ARM RESTS,ALL GARNISH RAILS OF RED COLOR. ONLY THE DOOR PANELS(WHITE PARTS) AND SEAT COVERING WAS CHANGED TO REPRO IN EARLY 2017.RED DASH AND DOOR PANEL TRIM IS ORIGINAL. ..EXTERIOR WAS REDONE ABOUT A COUPLE YEARS AGO,AND WAS REPAINTED JUST OVER THE ORIGINAL LAYER OF FACTORY PAINT.,WITH PROPER SURFACE SANDING BY A PROFESSIONAL SHOP.THE CAR HAS/HAD NO RUST BUBBLES,NO BLISTERS,NO RUST,NO BODYWORK! THE UNDERCARRIAGE IS TOTALLY ORIGINAL,NO UNDERCOATING,UNDER FLOORS ARE STILL RED..THE CAR WAS RECENTLY SERVICED AND OIL CHANGED WITH FILTER.NEW GAS FILTERS,NEW ANTIFREEZE.THE BIAS WIDE WHITES ARE IN GREAT SHAPE.WHEELS ARE STILL ORIGINAL PAINT.WHEEL COVER,ORIGINAL.WINDSHIELD CHROME AND STAINLESS ALL ORIGINAL.FRONT BUMPER.,,,ORIGINAL.REAR WAS REDONE TO MATCH THE EXHAUST PORTS WHICH WERE REDONE TOO..ALL PANELS FIT NEARLY PERFECTL, AS DOES THE SIDE GLASS WINDOWS.,CHROMED VENT STICKS AND FELTS STRIPS HAVE NEVER BEEN REPLACED..IT'S A MOSTLY ORIGINAL PRESERVED SURVIVOR WITH A FEW NICE FRESHENED UP PARTS TO MAKE IT LOOK GOOD.THE CAR HAS MASTER GUIDE POWER ASSIST STEERING, NEVER HAD A RADIO,HENCE THE FACTORY DELETE PLATE,NEVER HAD A RADIO ANTENNA,AND THERE WAS NO HOLE ON THE FENDER FOR AN ANTENNA.HIS DAUGHTER SAID HE NEVER WANTED A RADIO,JUST LIKED TO HEAR THE CAR PERFORM AS IT SHOULD,SHE TOLD ME.ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION ARE EXCELLENT.IT DRIVES LIKE A NEW OLD CAR!~ALL BRAKE WHEEL CYLINDERS WERE REPLACED LAST MARCH,WITH NEW, FOR SAFE STOPPING.THE DOOR AND COWL WEATHERSTRIPS ARER ORIGINAL,THE TRUNK STRIP WAS REPLACED WITH FACTORY MATCH.THE STEERING WHEEL,AS YOU MIGHT EXPECT IS MOULDED IN RED,AND NOT PAINTED,.NO CRACKS,AND THE WHEEL IS ORIGINAL TO THE CAR,AS IS THE ENTIRE DASH DOOR ALUMINUM TRIM.THE CAR HAS ONLY THE HARDTOP AND HE INSTALLED 57 STYLE PORTHOLES FOR VISIBILITY TO SEE OUTSIDE THE CAR WHILE DRIVING..IT'S A RARE RUSTB FREE FIND,AND AS I SAID THE AREAS UNDER THE CARPET,TRUNK MA, AND SEAT ARE ALL ORIGINAL UNREPAINTED FACTORY RED.VERY UNUSUAL TO SEE.DRIVES JUST SMOOTH AND BEAUTIFULLY..THANKS SO MUCH FOR LOOKING AT THIS ONE OF A KIND SURVIVOR THUNDERBIRD.PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS.GOOD LUCK BIDDING!
