Description of 1971 Ford Maverick Base Sedan 2-Door |
1971 Ford Maverick. It's a 6 cylinder automatic car but the engine and transmission are out, sitting on ground, goes with car if you want. The front bench seat was tore up so I put Subaru Legacy bucket seats and driver side has the jack lift handle to rise/lower seat. Took the column shift out and put in a mustang floor shifter. While interior was out, sanded and painted the floor with rustolium paint and put the silver heat/sound barrier under new carpet. Back seat and all panels in great shape had new leather door panels made for doors. All glass is great but the wind shield does show signs of "milking" at some edges. I have a brand new windshield rubber that goes with the car if someone wanted to replace the windshield. I'm told this is super hard to find these days. I bought this car a few years ago for my daughter to drive and have rebuilt everything under it. New brake drums front and rear. Wheel cylinder's front and rear, inner & outer bearings, new pads, master cylinder, new emergency break cable.....the only part that is not brand new in the coil springs. Car has less than 500 miles on brand new parts. The aluminum radiator shown in photos does go with the car. The drive shaft will need new front and rear joints put in to be useable. Just had a new exhaust system front to rear put on before pulling the 200/6 out. The floor pans are solid, rustolium painted under carpet and undercoating on bottom side. I have many extra parts that go with the car. Air shocks for the rear with duel air lines, standard shocks, front and rear, another grill, strip kit.....a poly dash cover I paid over $100 for just for that alone. Has a Kenwood AM/FM CD player and Kenwood 6X9 speakers. Clear title. It's a fantastic lil car and fun to drive. I pulled the engine and transmission to put 302 in it and it got stolen when brought parts home from machine shop. The 200 six that came out of it was running good but low compression. There is no battery that goes with the car. The photos show a primer grey trunk lid. But its now red sprayed with a rattle can...the 2 reds do not completely match and there is a dent in rear passenger side as shown in photos. Thanks for looking and if you have any questions please ask and I will try to answer. Whomever wins the bid I ask to pay $400 on Pay Pal as a deposit and the remainder in cash when pick up the car. If you want the engine you ned to bring something to lift the engine with or can take it apart in my drive....also whoever wins please ask me about motor mounts at time of pick up..... My dad is shown working on the car and he is not part of the deal, though some days I would sale him haha..... |
