Exterior The super clean body was repainted the correct color code X, Vintage Burgundy approximately 10 years ago.There is some wear consistent with age, but overall thepaint shows very well! Panel fit and finish is very good and all correct trim is in place and in great condition. There are no rust issues at all with this car. Floors, subframe, shock towers and all the other typical trouble areas are clean and solid! Lights all work as they should, glass is good original condition, BFG Silvertown red-line radials are like new and wheels are in great shape as well. Interior 63B body designation denotes a "Luxury" trimmed fastback. As such the correct and believed to be originalF6 trim coded white/black interior is in excellent shape for its age (rear seats look like they have hardly been used!). Well preserved and complete with "Pony"seats, woodtrimmed dash, door panels and center console with floor shifter. Rare andhighly sought after Rally Pac gauges along with the GT specificgauge layoutprovides lots of feedback on engine vitals. All gauges are in excellent shape,are clear and work as they should (with the exception of the clock).BeautifulGTwood steering wheel finishes off the interior treatment. Mechanicals The "A" code 289has been rebuilt and upgraded with performance componentsinspired by theHi-Po "K" code enginesof the day. Tri-Y headers, solid lifter cam with just enough lope and an Edelbrock carbadd to thepower of this little 289. Full dual exhaust with turbo-style mufflers gives this pony a mean and mellow sound that will get it noticedeverywhere it goes.Factory disc brakes are in place and in excellent shape along with the T-10 4-speed manual trans.While the trim tag designates a 3.00:1 rear gear,it was upgraded at some point to a 3.55:1 gearset for better all around performance. Real deal, '65 fastback (2+2) Mustangs are getting hard to find in unmolested condition like this one.
