Description of 1965 Ford Mustang 2+2 |
The Good!!!:I am selling this 1965 Ford A code Fastback Mustang. The Body shell is very solid and 100% original Ford installed Sheet metal!! The Pictures should demonstrate the solidness of the shell. The Hood, Trunk Deck, Fenders and Doors are 100% solid and not rusted out as well, and original to the car!!!!The interior pieces shown as well as the additional pieces I have for the car are original to the car as well. I have the headliner bows, most if not all the trim, the interior panels, front and rear seats, all original to the car!!!I have a 9 inch ford rear axle housing for the car as well as a 3.73 limited slip-28 spline center section as well. I have a side loader 4 speed transmission, bell housing, engine plate, cross-member and shifter, original style for the car.I have about 75 more pictures as well.I have nearly all the parts that this car was built with originally. I do not have carpeting, a headliner and an engine for this car.I have suspension pieces for the car as well.I have a good bunch of a black interior for this car as well as a second set of doors for the car, about 2 and a half front grills-light-buckets-trim assemblies as well.I have decided I will sell all 1965 parts I have for the 1965 Ford Fastback Mustang. The Bad:( :(!!!There is a bit of damage on the shell. For starters My pissed off father rolled the shell off the trailer once and did a 1 inch bend down on the top flange of the wind shield for about 8 inches of the surface. a good body man worth his salt with a bit of force up and proper metal shrinking technique, can correct the defect, that can be taken out and the roof panel will be good as new. The metal is not kinked. The rear axle rebound mounts have been about half cut away for what ever reason but the frame arch is unscathed and ready for new mounts installed. The rear fender to inner wheel house flange has been pinched up for tire clearance.A bit of the trunk floor leading to the gas tank was slit then brazed shut again.Shipping- you pay for it and my time if necessary. I may be willing to ship overseas if you make it worth my time-cash in advance.Car was drag raced through for a while and sat behind a garage from the mid seventies to the mid eighties so it was not driven in the Wisconsin winters for most of it's existence. A guy I know bought the car and stripped it down to the state it is in now and primed some of the exterior surfaces.A father and son bought this car from a guy I know to restore in the 1985-ish time. The Father and son were afraid of the project and that is when I bought the car in 1989-ish. I then transferred the title in my name around that time as well. I have had intentions to put the car together but as you see that went as planned. I have stored the car in a wooden - dry -weather protected wooden floor building since 1989-ish. On Aug-13-17 at 16:07:49 PDT, seller added the following information: Since the car is in pieces and I have stored it for nearly 30 years, it is not critical that it be removed immediately. I will work with you on shipping and assist loading the shell and pieces at yours and my advantage. On Aug-13-17 at 16:18:43 PDT, seller added the following information: I have thought this through and will offer that I can load this car onto my trailer and deliver it to the continental United States for $1.25 a mile. But you will have to be patient in that I have MS and move very slowly. You should fly to Madison Wisconsin Airport and I will pick you up so you can check out car in person. On Aug-13-17 at 16:36:51 PDT, seller added the following information: A good body man should be able to assemble this car with less than a quart of bondo. The fenders, doors, hood, trunk deck are not rusted through, just coated with multi-layers of paint and surface rust. The shell is not all beat to crap as well. As I have stated, the car has sat in that spot for nearly 30 years. On Aug-13-17 at 18:22:41 PDT, seller added the following information: Another thought, I have decided that the winner of this auction should inspect this car before it leaves my property and if it does not meet their expectations, we can dissolve the sale with no regrets. |
