Description of 1965 Ford Falcon Futura

Here's a little gem of a 1965 Ford Falcon Futura Tudor Sedan. It comes with original owners information as well as receipts from the last 10 years or so when it was with its second owner.I am the 3d owner and bought the car May of 2015, clear Maryland title in my name. 85xxx miles. Straight 6 Automatic. Trans was rebuilt in 2007 at 72025 miles. The car has been painted once overall a long time ago which gives the car that "patina" look everyone is after. The right front fender and door were painted in 2009 after the fender was hit when the car was parked. The suspension has been changed to 5 lug, Ford Granada spindles and disc brakes up front and a drum brake 8"Ford rear axle from a Maverick. Wheels are 17x7 front and 17x8 Ridler 659. Car is bagged with convoluted air springs in front and tapered air springs in rear. Air ride was installed when it was swapped to 5 lug in all four corners and uses an analog paddle control. There is a large on board air tank and single VIAIR compressor in thetrunk. The cargot anew carb 2015, it runs, drives, starts and stops well for a 50 year old car. Don't be fooled by that monster straight six it has a little trouble maintaining highway speed up hills at 70+ but I did just drive it to New Jersey the way it sits on a260 mile round trip. The lights all work but the self canceling turn signal does not and neither does the horn. The heater, wipers (not installed) and radio work correctly, the radio is a custom autosound FM tuner with CD changer controller and RCA pre amp outputs. The car is still a project and is not what I would consider 100%.You're going to need to finish tying up the loose ends like installing front shocks and the finishing the rear inner fenders which were trimmed out to accommodate the 17x8 inch wheels and Continental DW tires that have less than 1000 miles on them. The floor has some amateur patches welded in but they are solid and there is new carpet that needs to be trimmed to fit correctly. The upholstery on the front seat is pretty good black vinyl, The rear seat back is decentbut doesn't match and the seat bottom needs to berecovered. There is no headliner but I have all of the bows. All in all a very solid cool looking car that needs some refining but can be driven during the process. Car is for sale locally which may end auction as long as the reserve isn't met yet.
