Description of 1969 Ford F-100 Ranger |
"Little red '69"1969 Ford F-100 Ranger- Ready to restore! - --Sold as-is, non-running-- This little F-100 has been sitting since around 2006. The owner never got around to his restoration dreams. I believe this has been an Idaho truck for it's entirety. 5 digit odometer reads 08861, certainly at least 108,861. An alternator problem is what originally grounded this truck. I've noticed that the automatic shift linkage is also questionable. The rest of the mechanicalare believed to be intact, and probably serviceable. Where this pickup really shines is in the restoration potential. It's rust-free, and has very limited minor body damage. Critical areas like the bed, hood, and cab are in 9/10 condition for sheet metal. Passenger door skin has a dent on the lower 1/4, but as seen in the photos it's minor. A small ding in the cab rear of the passenger door. A few wrinkles in the front of the fenders. Ranger grille is 80-90%. Hood is excellent. At least half of the Ranger trim is in very good condition, and could be used in a restoration. The other half not so much, some pieces had been screwed. No tailgate. A good tailgate could be located for an extra price on request. Original paint, with some evidenceof touch-up years ago. Paint is very thin and has typicaloxidation. Original color is Ford's Candy Apple Red which is very desirablein a restoration. If I was looking for a solid F-100 starter for a full body swap, hot rod resto, or street cruiser I would be very satisfied starting with this. It's going to be hard to find a cheaper rust-free F-100. So many awesome directions that you could take this truck. I've included a photo of an extra front bumper I can include for $100 over bid price.
