Description of 1964 Ford Fairlane 500 |
1964 Ford Fairlane 500 V8 302 C3 Automatic Nice running driving project car. I insured it and drove it for a while 30-40 miles each way for a few weeks. Doesn't get hot or die at the stops. Sat for 5-7 years in a field in north Texas Needs a new radiator to be right this ones outlets are in the wrong place from the orginal 260 to the newer 302. Has Willwood disc brakes in the front Nice newly built 302 with a Edelbrock.. Cam, intake and carb Nice coffee maker overflow can (That's what you're buying and the cars free!) It pulls to the left and needs alignment. The tires are 15-20 years old so those gotta go. It has all 5 matching wheels. All the trim, glass and lights are present... The dash lights are out. The trunk opens with a screw driver currently no lock and cylinder. Headliner and the interior are in ok shape. Non AC car Has new brake pads and shoes. Stops just like an old car with front disc rear shoe brakes should Um............................. Needs the trans cooler relocated. I have no idea why it's where it is. Above the batter... Very weird I bought this car from a "fieldmechanics shop" a pro shop in the middle of a field in the middle of no where... It had been sitting 5-7 years we cleaned it up, aired it up and stated the usual drain and fills to start it. Instead of messing with everything I just bought Edelbrock stuff and redid it. new plugs, wires, rotor, rewired the MSD 6a and it fired right off. Sounds great! It needs work no doubt but it's well worth the price, time and effort... See what others are going for?? I just have no interest in it. I'm not a builder anymore I'm a driver. I have a good Texas title for it. Take it to the DMV insure it and drive it while you fix it. Dearborn Classic has all the parts. Quarter is $209 Floors are $60 each. Just needs front toe boards. The quarter welds in under the trim so that's nice. I tried to think of everything. If you're local or close come see it, hear it FIRST... Before you bid. PLEASE DON'T BID IF YOU CAN'T BUY! PLEASE!!!
