Description of 1951 Ford Other Pickups -- |
Hello to all eBayers! I have been with eBay for several years and I want to keep my reputation here 100% positive. I am a private collector, who has endless passion for classic cars and trucks. 90% of the vehicles have been rented out to movies commercials or high-class parties. Right now, I’m liquidating my collection since I’m selling my warehouse. Are you an old vehicles connoisseur looking for classic/vintage vehicles without having to pay luxury prices? You are in the right place...! I know that magic feeling when the right quality meets the right price, so I sell my vehicles worldwide at the most reasonable prices. This vehicle has a clear OHIO Title. If you need to get a CA title for this vehicle, I can help you with that for an additional fee. 1951 Ford F1 Pickup GREEN The first-generation Ford F-Series is a series of pickup trucks and commercial vehicles produced by Ford. Introduced in late 1947, the F-Series was the first post-war truck design from Ford. The first generation of the F-Series would remain in production until 1952. F-Series trucks were assembled at sixteen different Ford factories. Serial numbers indicate the truck model, engine, year, assembly plant, and unit number. The most common model was the F-1 with a 6?½-foot bed. The first F-Series truck (known as the Ford Bonus-Built) was introduced in late 1947 (went on sale January 16, 1948) as a replacement for the pre-War designed Ford trucks. It had a flat, one-piece windshield and integrated headlamps. It had a wider cab. The 1951 trucks were restyled with a single bar type grille and a headlight at each end of the grille bar. The grille was painted argent (silver) to complement the chrome headlight bezels. During the model year, the grille was painted ivory and the headlight rings argent. The hood got new side spears and a three slot embellishment at the front. The front bumper was redesigned. A V-8 emblem was used on the upper grille support on corresponding trucks. The pickup bed and tailgate were redesigned. The bed used a hardwood floor instead of the previous all metal floor. The rear window was larger. Door panels were also added. Mechanical So here is a ’51 Ford F-1: 1/2 ton (4,700 GVWR max.) It has 101,170 miles; the title shows exempt because of the age of the truck. Mechanically the truck is sound and very reliable. It has a professionally rebuilt 53 Mercury Flathead (500 miles) Edelbrock dual aluminum intake with rebuilt Holley 94s 3/4 Isky cam. I have receipts for the Flathead alone at over 5k. It also has new water-pumps, an adjustable Johnson lifter, ceramic coated Red's headers, a rebuilt 3 speed transmission, a rebuilt steering box, a drag link, a tie rod with ends, a Pittman arm, all 4 leaf springs, and rebuilt brakes all around. That’s why it starts, idles, goes through the gears, steers straight, and stops well. Exterior This truck has a fabulous exterior, as can also be seen in the pictures. It has all-original Ford glass. The paint is nice and shiny, which makes this F1 a head turner. The bed has original metal over wood. Brand new Coker tires and a spare tire make this truck even more reliable and attractive. Interior The truck has a very nice interior. It has solid door bottoms, cab corners and the rest of the floor. The original seat is without tears. It is nice and clean inside. The dash is complete, and the gauges are all there and operating. This car is surely a pleasure to own and drive it around! It is your responsibility to personally inspect the vehicle or send a third-party inspector that will perform an inspection to your satisfaction. Remember, this vehicle is from the 1950’s, and even though I’ve tried my best to describe it, it can have some imperfections which I’m not aware of. I’m saying this because I’ve had a bad experience with a ruthless dealer that tried to extort money from me after the car was inspected and delivered! If you are buying and paying for this classic, please contact your transporter after vehicle is picked up and within 2 hours please give me a positive feedback! This is your chance to own a great classic at a great price! |
