THIS IS A PROJECT CAR JUST OUT OF 20+ YEARS OF INDOOR STORAGE. THE CAR WILL NEED TOTAL RESTORATION AND WAS PARKED BY THE ORIGINAL BUYER WHEN THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION GAVE OUT. THE MACH 1 WAS HANDED DOWN TO THE FAMILY'S SON IN HIGH SCHOOL AT THE TIME. I NOTICED THE CAR ON THE ROAD FULL OF TEENS AS I WENT TO AND FROM WORK. THE CAR HAD A GREAT STANCE AND MOVED EASILY IN TRAFFIC. DURING THE SUMMER, I SPOTTED THE AD IN THE LOCAL NEWSPAPER AND RECIEVED A LITTLE INFO. ON THE VEHICLE FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER. HE STATED THAT THEY WERE A NAVY FAMILY AND THE FIRST 1/2 OF THE CAR'S ROADLIFE WAS SPENT IN THE STATE OF VIRGINIA.HE WAS TRANSFERRED TO NORTHERNILLINOIS WHERE THE CARWAS INTRODUCED TO ROAD SALT.THE TEEN DRIVER TRIED TO RESTORE THE CAR IN HIGH SCHOOL AUTO SHOP BUT WAS LIMITED DUE TO THE LACK OF $. I BOUGHT THE CAR IN THE HOPES OF RESTORING IT BUTRAN OUT OF TIME. THE CAR WILL COME WITH MANY SPARE PARTS IN ADDITION TO WHAT IS SHOWN. I WILL SUPPLY A REALLY NICE HOOD IN ORIGINAL TEAL PAINT, SPARE VINTAGE MAG WHEEL AND REAR FASTBACK WINDOW. { HARD TO FIND }THIS CARHAS REALLY CLEAN SHEET METAL IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AND LESS THAN NORMAL RUST UNDER THE CAR BUT WILL REQUIRE SOME FLOOR PANS AND REAR LEAF SHACKLE MOUNTS. { MOST COMMON RUST REPAIR INVINTAGE MUSTANGS. ]THE BRAKE SHOES WERE STUCK TO THE DRUMS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AND THE SHOES AND SMALL HARDWEAR WERE DISCARDED. { HAS NO BRAKES } ALL THE SPARE PARTS WILL NOT FIT IN THE CAR TO TRANSPORT SO PLAN ON A P/U TRUCK TO CARRY EXTRA PARTS. THIS VEHICLE WILL MAKE ONE BAD HOT ROD OR COULD BE RETURNED TO NEW CONDITION BY THE "PURIST".MY FIRST BID OF $5500.00 IS MY RESERVE!!!!
