Description of 1972 Ford Torino Gran Torino Sport |
For your consideration is this rare, original 1972 Ford Gran Torino Sport, offered at no reserve! This is a very desirable, one year only body style! This is a 2dr fastback, it was originally dark blue with a blue interior. The car has been soda blasted to bare metal, you don't have to worry about what is hidden under old paint. You see exactly what you are buying! This Torino has 83K original miles! The mileage is documented as actual on the title. I purchased it this summer from the second owner who had owned the car since 1974! His son wrecked the car in 1983 and it was parked! There is damage to the left front corner, the frame looks straight! I have purchased an extra pair of front fenders, header panel, headlight assemblies, fender extensions, headlight doors, grill insert, an excellent front bumper with park lights. These parts will come with the car! Most if not all of the trim that is not on the car in the pictures is with it. The car has a 351, 2bbl Cleveland engine and automatic transmission! Power steering and power disc brakes. The car does not run, the engine is seized. It was running when parked, unfortunately it has stuck since being parked. The body is pretty good, it does have some rust in the hood, doors, & inner fenders. There is some rust in the lower quarters will own the car! The rear panel below the trunk lid also has some rust, a solid replacement is included. All of the glass is good, the interior is complete. This is an excellent winter project that will make an amazing car! I have a clear VA title in my name. The car rolls well and I can assist in loading it on your transporter. Please ask any questions, I can get more pictures if you would like them. A $500 deposit is due within 24hours, the balance in 7 days. The balance can be paid in cash, cashiers check or money order. The car needs to be removed within two weeks unless prior arrangements have been made. This is not a running car and must be towed. Please ask all questions before the end of the auction! This is a no reserve auction, the high bidder |
