Description of 1978 Ford Fairmont

1978 Ford Fairmontwith original 302 engine. So this very original coupe with interesting upgrades will pique any enthusiast's interest, and that's before you dive into the interesting details. You don't see too many of these anymore, this one is a true cut-above in its appearance. The original white paint is still on the car, and it coordinates nicely with the premium blue vinyl top and matching pinstripe. There's plenty of original trim and the car is generally in extremely nice condition for its age.It is a survivor grade car where most of these were scrapped.

Inside the blue and white theme continues on the original-style interior. The cushy white vinyl high-back split bench has room for three up front (check out the cording blue seatbelts!) or you can utilize the folding armrest for individual comfort. This has a true feeling of 70s glamour with plenty of wood paneling on the door panels, surrounding the gauges, and framing the original AM/FM radio.

You have Ford's legendary 302 cubic-inch V8 under the hood. Plus, it shares this motor and Fox platform with the Mustangs of the same era, so anyone who wants to turn this into a cool sleeper already has a great place to start. But for those of you who appreciate this cool coupe as it is today will be happy to know it has been well maintained. Also the automatic transmission has been rebuilt within the last few years. The result is a car that fires right up, pulls strong from the stoplights, and shifts with a smooth confidence. Add in power steering and front disc brakes, and this is a true anywhere, anytime cruiser.

Complete with original warranty card, owner's manual, and maintenance receipts, this is a truly interesting classic for any easy to own price. The car ispriced right and the only reason I am selling is that I bought my wife a brand new Challenger. Other than that, this is the best Ford Fairmont that you may ever see.

The air conditioning is intact and was charged. It worked fine for awhile but now doesn't cool. Probably a minor fix, because all original equipment is present. The dash lights seem a little dim to me as well. Engine runs strong. New starter solenoid.

This car is in Crossville, TN and can be picked up anytime. Title is clear and it currently has antique plates on it. I will need $500 as the time of sale via Paypal and the rest in cash at delivery.
