Description of 1976 Ford F-100 Ranger XLT |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
For sale is my 1976 Ford F-100 Ranger XLT short bed Styleside pickup with only 80,700 original miles. This truck was purchased new at Town & Country Ford of Cartersville, Georgia on January 31, 1976 and remained with that same owner in Cartersville for the next 40 years until he sold it to a gentleman in neighboring Fayetteville, Georgia in May of 2016. I purchased the truck from him in September of 2016 with plans to drive it for the next few years and then restore it completely. After a year of enjoying the truck and really only putting a few hundred miles on it I've decided that I need a newer truck and am ready to part with it, hopefully to the person that actually will complete the restoration. You won't find a better candidate for restoration than this truck. The truck is a rust free Southern vehicle that has been well cared for all of its' life. It is equipped with the original 302 V8 and 3-speed automatic transmission. It has power steering, power brakes (front disc and rear drum) and factory air conditioning. It runs and drives really well for a 41 year old truck in un-restored condition. Everything works as it should. The interior is in great condition. The original cloth seat covers are amazing with only minimal signs of wear. The carpet, door panels and headliner are original and in very good condition. The paint is original except for the driver side front fender and the corner of the hood that was repainted badly many years ago and has cracked with age. There are lots of minor chips and scratches from many years of driving but it still shines well and draws attention everywhere that it goes. There is a small 2" to 3" crease on the lower passenger side door and a small dent on the bottom edge of the tailgate. It has the original factory hubcaps and bed rails. The original glass is all in good condition with no chips or cracks. The bright trim is all in place and in good condition. The bumpers are both new. The old factory pinstripes had dried out and cracked so they were removed and new stripes installed. Overall it's about as original looking as you can find. The radio is an old aftermarket and really sounds bad but I have the original radio, not sure if it's working or not. Over the past year or so the following has been fixed or replaced:
I have the original bill of sale, a copy of the original Georgia title and lots of receipts. Please e-mail me with any questions and I'll do my best to answer quickly. Send a phone number and I'll be glad to call you to discuss the truck. I believe that I have a fair reserve considering the condition of this truck and I've offered a "buy it now" if you just have to have it now. You or your representative will be welcome to see and drive the truck at any time during the auction. It is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time before the reserve has been reached. Shipping, if necessary, will be the buyers' responsibility but I'll be glad to be available to meet you or your carrier. A non-refundable down payment of $1,000 through Paypal will be expected within 48 hours after close of the auction with the balance to be paid by bank wire transfer prior to shipping or pick up. Thanks for looking and good luck!
