I am selling my 1972 Ford Gran Torino Q code 351 Cobra jet automatic Project. I've had this car a while and have too many projects to do to finish this one. I purchased this car from southern California 5 years ago and it has never been outside of the garage in the weather since. the car was dissembled and then had some rust fixed by local restoration shop East Coast Muscle Cars. the trunk needed two small patches and they fixed the rust that was under the back window. The Car i consider 95% rust free needing minor body work and finishing to get to paint i have 2 front bumpers both are driver-cruise in quality and the rear bumper was sandblasted and had bolt holes welded shut because my plan was to paint it. the floor is completely solid and the whole car was under coated and the frame has been painted in gloss black and cleared. The car has a rust-free Ram Air styled gran torino sport hood. both doors look to be in good shape and were stored safely after being removed. the trunk lid had an rust repaired and is ready for sanding. I have all body panels all just needing minor prep before paint. all glass is in good shape only glass that is out of the car is the rear windshield. The C6 auto transmission was rebuilt with a B&M street shift kit. painted New Ford Grey. It has a chrome Ford Racing pan with drain plug has new high performance 2500RPM stall torque converter. the Driveshaft has new Heavy Duty U Joints but is still out of the car. The engine is the original 351 cobra jet 4 bolt main. it was running when I got the car. but I sent it to be rebuilt by local shop(have receipt). The Block was Bored . 030 over and new Kieth black flat top pistons. with plasma molly rings. the crank was polished and i used HP barrings throughout. brass freeze plugs. ARP blots/studs throughout. the heads and intake are the original to the car. heads have been port and polished. 3 angle valve job. all stainless manley vales. new comp locks and springs. port matched to the intake. and hardened seats were installed. new double roller timing chain. new comp hardened push-rods the cam is a mild upgrade Comp cams 270H with Comp Cams hydrolic lifters. BRAND NEW water pump. power steering pump and lines. HP fuel pump. and starter. have new Flowtech long tube headers and painted original exhaust manifolds. also have original rebuilt carb but not installed. the engine has never been started since rebuild. has new spark plugs installed needs wired up and finished being hooked up. belt. ect. The suspension of the car is mostly original set up i added a rear sway bar. painted the 9in axel and gave it new front ball joints. and A arm bushings. new front shocks. new front sway bar end-links. new rear air shocks all hooked up and work great. has new brake vacume booster. also has new master cylinder that is not hooked up yet factory front power disk brakes and drum rear. The cars headliner is in good shape and the dash is near perfect with no cracks at all. the door panels are all nice just need wiped down and installed along with the band new carpet and the seats are in great shape. has no console but is an automatic on the floor. has the original rim blow steering wheel. This Car is a great Project for someone to finish. i just no longer have the time for it. Many original and new parts to go with it.
