Description of 1940 Ford Other Pickups

Up for bidding is a really nice. attention getting 1940 Ford hot rod pickup truck. Build was completed in October of 2014. 1400 miles since build completed. The chassis is from a 1984 Mazda b2200. It has torsion bar front suspension. with a leaf spring rear suspension. The rear end is an 8. 8" Ford unit with a new Ford Racing Trac-Loc and 3. 73 gears. The rear has triangulated adjustable top link bars. Drive shaft was custom built and balanced. Transmission is a brand new Ford Racing T5Z built by Astor Performance transmissions in Florida. ( cost 1895. 00) Shifter is an MGW and is regarded as the best street shifter for a T5. Flywheel is balanced at 28oz and is a steel Ford Racing unit. Clutch is a King Cobra from Ford Racing. Pressure plate is from Centerforce. Engine is a 306 cubic inch small block Ford. Block is bored . 030 over std and is a late model 5. 0 roller. Crank is a vintage 302 2M casting turned 10/10 and modified to accept the late roller block. Rods are shot peened 1968 units. All bearings are Clevite. Mahle rings. Pistons are Speed Pro Hypereutectic flat tops making 9. 5-1 compression. Heads are ported and polished E7TE's with Comp springs and stainless valves. Camshaft is a Lunati hydraulic roller 565 lift ( I have cam card ). Roller lifters are Ford Racing. Roller rockers are Ford Racing 1:6 ratio. Pushrods made by Comp. Intake is an Edelbrock Performer. and carb is a rebuilt Autolite 4100 1:12 or 600 cfm. Valve covers are ceramic coated fabbed aluminum units and the water neck is a pivot style by CV racing. The truck has a rear mounted radiator. The radiator is a new copper unit from a Diesel Suburban. It is plumbed with 2. 5' copper pipe. Fans are OEM from a Chevy Lumina. Has catch can as well. The cooling system has a 180 on / 190 off relay and it works flawlessly. Never has been over 190. All joints are soldered and pipe is braced very well. Electric fuel pump. fuel block. fuel pressure gauge. and red fuel line with two fuel filters. All wiring was done with a Rebel Wiring harness. Headlights. taillights. blinkers. interior lights work. Hi/Lo beam selector. Speedometer is a restored 40 Ford unit. but we have not ordered a cable to adapt it to the T5. Tachometer and Comp Rev limiter are currently unplugged. Pedal assembly is from a Foxbody Mustang. Cable clutch system with BBK adjuster and quadrant. New front and rear windshield with new seals. NO door glasses. but I have extra doors with regulators and hardware that will be included. Seat is a newly recovered Dodge minivan unit. and fuse panel is mounted under seat. Headers are BBK and mufflers are Moroso race units. Wheels on rear are 15x8. 5 American Racing Torq Thrust that I ceramic coated to a cast gold to mimic magnesium. Front wheels are rare 15. 4 Studebaker steelies. All 4 are 5 on 4. 5 pattern. Rear tires are MT Indy Profiles. Front and rear Disc Brakes!! with proportioning valve and Wilwood Master Cylinder. 12 gallon spun Aluminum fuel cell. MSD coil. Ford Duraspark II ignition box and distributor. MSD rev limiter. Ford Racing plug wires. Pulley system is a VERY nice billet set from CFR Performance. Powermaster Alternator. Fabbed front nerf bars. The truck drives great and gets tons of attention. Using the later model Mazda/Nissan chassis allowed the use of disc brakes and adjustable torsion bars. All steering bushings and dust caps are new. New brake lines front to back. Having the rear radiator setup has kept the front of the truck cleaner and has been maintenance free. Fuel mileage is ever pretty good! This is a great truck. We build hotrods for a living and this one is really cool. It has an original door logo from Mississippi Materials Company ( concrete company ) and has their phone number as well. Feel free to ask any question. Bid to win a one-of-a-kind hot rod. 40s are tough to find! PICS coming soon and I will take any others that are needed. Delivery is possible for a fee. I have sold to Austria. Australia. Switzerland. Canada. and England; so I will do what I can to help. 500. 00 deposit required within 48 hrs of auction end.
