Description of 1959 Ford Fairlane Galaxie |
I bought this car in 2006 for my dad from a man that had parked it in a shed since1994. When I bought the car it had 60323 actual miles on it. My dad rebuilt the engine, a 292 CID V-8, and the automatic transmission. He had all the interior redone and the outside repainted. Brakes are all new, and the fuel tank was flushed. Its now sitting here with 62645 miles. The car is originally Torch Red and Colonial White exterior, with a power white convertible soft top, along with the red, white and black interior. At the time of its original build, the Fairlane 500 Galaxie Sunliner was the most popular convertible in the world. It has been in several car shows, and parades around the area. The Ford Fairlane 500 Galaxie was introduced mid-year 1959. The 59 Galaxie displayed both "Fairlane 500" and "Galaxie" badging. Thanks for looking, |
