This 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 convertible is for all of those who like to standout in a tasteful and vintage way. It's sporty on the outside, elegant on the inside, and packs a nice V8 wallop.... All for an affordable price. The Ford Galaxie cars are really starting to come into their own on the classic car market. These were truly the full-sized Fords that followed the idea of 'lower, wider, longer' as far as it could even placing the headlights and taillights as far in the corners of the body as possible. This allowed for some seriously large chrome elements such as the wraparound bumpers and the grille that looks billet-style straight from the factory. The result was a design that was uniquely Ford and uniquely the 1960s. And the addition of Cragar SS wheels is the perfect way to remind us all that this is the era of the sporty V8s. But our favorite part on this car is the paint. Not only does it show a high-quality finish from a professional respray earlier in life, but also the turquoise color is officially called Dynasty Green. So it's the perfect '60s hue with the kind of name that tells you why this is a droptop for the ages. While we like how the white folding roof is a nice coordinating color for the exterior, with just the touch of a button, it goes down to reveal an even better coordinating interior. Ford had tons of different trim codes for its full-size cars in '65, but none do a better job on this convertible for style and harmonization this the button-top two-tone turquoise. As expected from the Galaxie 500 line, this is a big comfortable cruiser where everyone has plenty of room to spread out. Plus, all signs of this interior point to it being original. This originality extends to everything on the two-tier dashboard, where the speedometer and AM radio up high where they're easy to see, and secondary items are part of a pod down below. But because you want to cruise this full-size Ford with family and friends, there is a more modern AM/FM/CD stereo mounted below the dash. It gives you more modern tunes without spoiling the vintage atmosphere. Pop the hood and you'll see that callouts on the fenders were not lying. This car has its correct X-code 352 cubic-inch "Interceptor" V8. It looks like its radiating power from within the engine bay thanks to shining components like the cool "Power by Ford" valve covers, air topper, and new alternator There's a rebuilt Motorcraft four-barrel carburetor and quite nice sounding dual exhaust, so you'll never have to be without passing power. But really, this is the kind of car you can enjoy at a much more leisurely pace. With power steering and a three-speed automatic transmission making journeys comfortable, some of your happiest moments will likely be the trips in between the car shows and cruise-ins. Complete with maintenance records and owner's manual, this is a well-maintained and well-presented classic cruiser. And since it provides far more distinction then you should be able to get for this price, you know you need to hurry if you want to take home this deal. Call today!!!
