This a 1966 Ford T-5 Fastback GT for sale. This is a numbers matching car and truly a rare bread of European Mustang model. When ford wanted to introduce the Mustang in Germany, they discovered that Krupp company had already registered the name for a truck. The German company offered to sell the rightsfor US $10,000. Ford refused and removed Mustang badges from exported units, instead naming the cars as T-5 (A Pre-production Mustang project name) for the German market until 1979 when Krupp copyrightsexpired. This a numbers matching and fully restored 289 A code, Ford T-5, 4 speed. With less than 4,000 miles since restoration, this T-5 looks and runs great. All the receipts from the restoration will be provided . Too many new parts to list in full, - New Sheet metal, clutch, flywheel, cam shaft, aluminum intake manifold, Hurst shifter, headers, brakes front and rear, power brake booster, master cylinder (dual instead of single for safety) This 1966 Ford T-5 GT Fastback car is in excellent restored, and mechanically sound condition. The car is tight, and runs and drives out wonderfully. The engine runs great/smooth,and the transmission shifts/performs as expected. The exterior body, rockers/torque boxes, and other areas of concern on early Mustangs of this era are of no concern on this vehicle. The uni bodyframe is devoid of any issue, accidents, or damage. The underside is clean and very PRISTINE. The body fitment is excellent, with no evidence of accidents, poor patch work, etc. The doors, hood, deck lid all align, fit and close as expected! The PAINT is very nicely done, and presents very well, and would do quite well in any Mustang show it would be entered in, and it has won quite of few including peoples's choice at the Boca Raton Concours d'elegance. Allweatherstrips and detail items have been replaced throughout the car. The chrome and trim is all in excellent condition, and all the bright work/finishes have either beenreplaced or polished (stainless steel). The interior is in nice, restored condition. The correct speedometer, unique to these cars is in place. A Ford retrosound AM-FM with Blue Tooth & Subwoofer (In trunk) were installed with Hertz speakers. The engine compartment has beennicely detailed and all proper components, and finishes are in place, at one time many Shelby Cobra components were installed (Valve covers, 7.5 Qt oil pan, and air cleaner, suspension). A correct style reproduction Autolite battery has also been installed. The super rareT5 (and 65/66 Shelby) even-space export brace, with accompanying cowl reinforcement are still in place. The original VIN stampings are in place on the aprons, and the original body buck tag, unique to the Dearborn, Mi cars is on the left hand apron. This car is clearly a factory GT, retaining all of the unique and original pieces that these cars used. The radiator/core support is 100% original and the punched holes for the GT fog light harness are 100% right/correct. Produced by Krupp Motoren und Kraftwagenfabriken in 1951-68, the Mustang truck's primary claim to fame was that it — and Krupp's copyright — set up a roadblock for Ford's plans to market its Mustang in Germany.
