Description of 1960 Ford Galaxie

1960 StarlinerIf your reading this then you know how rare this car is. This is an unmolested all original Starliner with 104. 00 miles and you can either drive it like it is or restore it to it's Glory Day condition. I bought this car because I always wanted a 60 Starliner because they are the rarest. but too many cars and projects so I have decided to sell it and let someone else enjoy it. Body- All original body panels and very straight. Will need the bottom of the front fenders repaired. bottom of the rear quarters and drop downs. Surface rust along some of the chrome. The front floor pans have a hole in each side (see picture - 4 inch x 4 inch) needing a patch and the drivers rear pan has some minor peppering by the drain plug. The trunk pan is completely gone and I ordered a new pan today that will go with the car. The frame has slight surface rust but no rot anywhere. This car is an easy fix for any bodyshop or individual with some experience. Trim- All stainless is there but some may have a few dings that can be straightened. Bumpers are in great shape but if you restore the car rechrome of course. Interior - I pulled the carpet so you could see the pans. headliner is also pulled. Seats and door panels are average condition and could be used as a driver. Engine/transmission - It has it's original 292 with an automatic transmission. The engine runs great and starts easily using a can of gas. I will be pulling the gas tank next week to clean and seal and run a new gas line. This car has not been on the road since 1996. so don't plan on driving it home if you buy it. I will have it drivable before the end of this auction. but plan on trailering it. Glass- passengers door glass is cracked but I have a new one to replace it with. Windshield and back glass are good. I have described this car and included pictures of any problem areas to the best of my ability. You are buying a car that needs work. but will be the only one at any show you attend. remember this car is 54 years old and has only one paint job probably 30 years ago or more.
