Description of 1988 Ford F-150 Supercab XLT Lariat 4x4

1988 FORD

F150 XLT Lariat

Extended Cab 4x4

VIN: 1FTEX14H4JKA32334

I'm often asked where we find these clean, unique vehicles. One of my best friends cruises parking lots of retirement homes, Elks clubs, our V.F.W. Hall and the small-town back streets of rural areas near Seattle. He can spot a seatbelt slammed in a door a mile away... He'll notice when a nice old car or truck is driving with a turn signal left on just a little too long and he positively twitches with glee when a vehicle with metal bumpers passes by! Occasionally, we'll get really lucky and find one sitting there right under our noses. That's the case with this nice truck as it belonged to his next door neighbor. If you're in the market for clean vintage pickup, please give this top-of-the-line F150 4x4 your kind attention. Feel free to contact me with questions or to discuss a sale before the end of the Ebay auction listing. My name is Mark and you can reach me directly by phone or text at 206/914-1173.

CONDITION:

The photos really tell the truck's story. It's spent all of the past twenty-five years here in the Great Pacific Northwest driving our salt-free roads. From the photos, you'll see the rig has obviously been well cared for and loved. We've found absolutely NO evidence of any major accidents, storm damage, insurance salvage, theft recovery, repossession or any other nasty negatives to cause you concern as the next caretaker! After the truck arrived at my warehouse our mechanic looked it over thoroughly. He replaced the inline fuel pump, the ignition module on the distributor, did a tune-up and changed the engine oil/filter. All the posted photos you see were taken on 10/30/2017 on a sunny afternoon outside my shop (it's been great weather here in the Seattle area during the fall!).

I take pride in our vehicles and feel that you should know as much about them as possible. Accordingly, here's a list of the good and any small things possibly needing attention: The four-wheel drive system works just as it should. The overall exterior is in very good condition. The rig wears factory two-tone colors and has had one good quality re-spray to the red portions. There are no rock chips or major dents. Rust? Well, this classic Ford HATES rust and you'd be hard pressed to find ANYTHING here to worry about! Because we rarely get snow west of the Cascades in both Washington and Oregon, our winter roads are never salted. Climb over, under and throughout - I know you'll come up smiling! Back in 1988 this was the nicest, most deck-out Ford truck you could buy and it's classic style and durability have proven themselves over the passing years.

One turn of the key and the strong 351 CID V8 fires right up. There's a nice, throaty rumble to the exhaust (some caused by a very slight, typical exhaust manifold leak). The three-speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly, just like it should, with NO slippage. Of course, there's a tilt steering column, power steering, brakes and windows (all work). The power front disk brakes stop the rig just fine with no pulling or binding. It really is fun to drive anywhere you'd wish to go. The aftermarket chromed brush guard and stainless heavy-duty rear bumper really add to the hefty appearance. Completing it is the Penda bedliner and diamond plate bed rails. I can't tell you the number of times I've gotten a "thumbs up" pulling in at the gas station from a vintage truck admirer!

Please take another look at the interior shots. The bench seat upholstery is original and in excellent condition. Two fold-down jump seats are mounted behind in the storage area. The original carpets have always been protected with mats and couldn't be in better shape. NO sagging or warped liner board either! again! All the glass is great including the windshield. About the only negative is attention will be needed to make the A/C blow cold (I'm not sure what that will entail, though the heater works great). That's about it!
If you're thinking of bidding on a comparable Chevy or Ram pickup of similar vintage, you really owe it to yourself to drive and look this nice F150 over first!

PLEASE BID WITH CONFIDENCE and know that you are purchasing a classic from a respected Ebay seller. I want you to be happy with your purchase (and with me) and that's the main goal! Please don't be upset by a missed flaw or some unforeseen problem! No vintage used car or truck is ever perfect. Having said this, I would not hesitate to drive this pickup long distance immediately.

Because of the amount of money involved in buying a vehicle, we require that Ebay members with a feedback history of five or fewer transactions call, text or email before placing a bid. If I don't have this initial contact, your bid may be cancelled. As I've outlined above, the phone number to talk directly to me is 206/914-1173. Please feel free to call any time during the auction. My name is MARK. You're welcome and encouraged to come by my Auburn, WA warehouse to inspect & drive the F150. You might also make an offer as many of my vehicles sell to smart "early birds" that contact me and work out a deal prior to the auction's end. I always reserve the right to sell during this period.

A Few Additional Terms and Conditions:

A nonrefundable $500 deposit is due within 48 hours of the auction's conclusion. The balance is due by cash or certified funds within seven business days unless prior arrangements have been made with me. I can accept bank cards, but I'll first need to send an invoice and would ask that you cover the 3.5% fee our processor charges. Please remember you are bidding to buy and I fully expect the winning bidder to fulfill their Ebay contract! You're not bidding to hold or then come inspect and test-drive the truck later -- You're more than welcome to do this before the auction ends.

If you decide to have the truck transported, there are scores of companies to choose from. I ship vehicles regularly and suggest that you get a transport bid from Dependable Auto Shippers (DAS). They're EBay's preferred carrier and will give you a fair quote. Call them directly at (888) 817-6203. Give the sales rep my affiliate number (2362642) and they can pull up all our information for station-to-station or even door-to-door quotes.

For our bidders in Washington, Oregon and California we have a great local transport company that regularly (and economically) delivers our vehicles up and down the west coast. It's almost less expensive than airfare, food and fuel from here to Los Angeles. No worries then about a flat tire repair on the freeway either!

As another alternative, you might also get bids from the U-Ship website. You'll be able to choose a transport broker from multiple offers. The zip code for pick-up would be 98002 (Auburn, Washington). The shipping of the vehicle and company chosen are the responsibility of the BUYER.

Thetruck can be stored free of charge at my location for up to two weeks after the auction ends assuming full payment has been received. After that period storage is $20 per day. The vehicle is being sold as-is, where-is, with no warranty expressed or implied. All information described above is based on the observed condition when thelisting was placed. I've done my very best to describe the Ford as honestly as possible and encourage bidders to contact me with questions.
