Description of 1931 Ford Street Rod

What an amazing build of a beautiful street rod. The cost to duplicate would be astronomical and you still wouldn't have what we are offering here. This 5-Window Coupe has just 12,016 miles on the odometer and when built in July of 2012, had just 7,554 so less than 5,000 have been added in the last 5 years. The car still looks like new. It has an original Ford steel body with the top chopped 3 " and a center filled, louvered visor. The body was channeled 4" over the frame. The windshield tilts out like the original. It has a smooth firewall and a removable cowl for access to the electrical behind the dash. The trunk is a 4-piece removable lid with louvers. The grill shell is a 1932 steel reproduction with a 3" grill section. It has 48' Ford taillights and Autocar headlights. The chassis is a custom 106" wheelbase. The engine is a 354cid Chrysler HEMI bored .030 with K1 rods, .010.010 crank, Isky 505 C solid lifter cam, Milodon gear drive, 555 cylinder heads, stainless valves and bronze guides, adjustable rocker arms, aluminum timing cover and valley pan, SFI balancer (power bond), AIU tunnel ram intake manifold, twin Holley 4-barrel 660 carburetors with Mr. Gasket velocity stacks and a Vertex Magneto. The transmission is a 1969 Chrysler A833 "HEMI" box 4-speed with a Quicktime bellhousing and block plate, McLeod 130 tooth 426 Hemi flywheel, 10.95 Ram power grip clutch and a Hurst Competiton Plus shifter with Slick Shift synchronizers from Passion Performance. Some of the many other features include an Proform electric water pump, electric fan, Ford 9" rear differential with 31-spline Strange Engineering Axles, 4.71 Motorcraft Ford gears, four link rear suspension with QA1 coil over shocks and wheelie bars, Simpson parachute, S & S Headers with street legal baffles, side pipes, chrome front suspension, VDO gauges, Moroso cable driven tachometer, Hurst line-lock, race seats, Simpson race belts, roll cage, aluminum 10 gallon fuel cell, Holley electric fuel pump, CNC pedals and an Iditdit steering column. Has front disc and rear drum brakes. The wheels are front Weld 15 x 4 with 125R-15 Firestone F-560's and the rear wheel are Weld Prostars with 33 x 21.5 x 15M/T Sportsman tires. The rear tires have Goodyear tubes. It has a Pennsylvania safety inspection valid through July 2018. The 2 pictures show the car running at Cecil County Dragway in June of 2017. It comes with a folder full of spec's and manuals. An outstanding running and driving example that's ready to cruise or hit the strip.
