Description of 1966 Ford Thunderbird Convertible

This is a real q code 428 tbird convertible. Good car to restore or great parts car or drivetrain donor for a mustang or shelby. Engine runs very smooth no smoke or knocks. Previous owner was a great mechanic and did some work to the top end and then added a brand new edelbrock carburetor. He replaced some brake lines and was going to get tagged. I bought to restore but I am not as good at body work and this will need some. Should have kelsey hayes disc brakes heavy duty c6 and 31 spline 9 inch rear end. Mostly complete but missing top relays and switches. Package tray is rusted beyond repair but i understand fibrglass replacements are made. completely rusted out floorboards and trunk. Top frame, cylinders and flipper panel there but flipper gear and motor gone. Any questions call 240 are code 381 4744 If you just want the drivetrain I can help pull and load them for you as I have a forklift at my garage. Or pick up or have the whole thing shipped to your location, I can help load the car to your hauler. The top frame is in good condition, some pitting but the not frozen up it went up and down but slowly. Probably needs the lines bled or to be exercised a bit. The trunk floor is okay, there are some holes that could be repaired but it is definitely rusty.. I was able to stand in the trunk when I was working on getting the top to go up and down so it did hold my weight and I am not small. The dash is kind of weathered, but I have a lot of extra parts so you can look through my parts and pick out another dash and instrument panel if you want to restore the car. Again call if you have questions. Car must be moved within 30 days unless other arrangements are made before the auction ends.
