The fifth generation Ford Fairlane was a medium sized car that was designed to compete with other upmarket models such as the AMC Rambler and Dodge Custom 880. It featured a state of the art unibody frame and had four boxed frame structures. It features a 4 year restoration job and still has the original matching 390cid V8 4bbl and 4-speed manual. The engine and transmission are both rebuilt and the V8 has been given a whole host of upgraded parts including new headers cams brand new 4bbl carburetor and high output oil pump. The odometer was returned to zero when the restoration was completed. The car is equipped with power front disc brakes power steering working heater and air conditioning. The power steering and air condition were not original to the car but have been added using period Fairlane parts. Original a light blue this car has been repainted in a gorgeous maroon with black interior. The owner describes that the car came to him basically as a shell and he has done all of the repaint and refinished the body. The interior is also in perfect shape and looks incredible. The owner also says the rear quarter panels were replaced with brand new old stock 1967 Fairlane fenders and had them perfectly fitted to his car.
