Description of 1968 Ford Mustang Green

WONDERFULLY RESTORED 1968 FORD MUSTANG

This car is an almost exact duplicate of my first car I had in high school. I bought it from a mechanic who had spent years restoring and putting together this beautiful machine. Stepping into it is like stepping into a time machine for me. Unfortunately, after only owning it for a few months, I was recently diagnosed with a medical condition that is going to cause me to not be able to drive. So, the universe seems to be telling me it is time to pass this gem along to the next person who needs her.

Original miles unknown, but roughly 1K since engine rebuild

This a list of all the parts/equipment that were restored or replaced with new:

(It is unusual for these to survive)- New headlights (Also included: two new Ford Motor Company (FoMoCo) branded halogen headlights)Also included: Several items listed in details above, as well as, repair manual, jack, front windshield shade, original distributor, wires and coil, air filter, assorted small parts, Mustang signage and parts catalogs.
To make sure I tell you about it all, here are a few small things that could still be worked on:- Thin metal frame around grill is not properly attached on one side.- Headliner was replaced, but it looks like he ran out of material in the rear passenger side. It is a little patchwork there and currently needs some new adhesive. (Which I will include a fresh bottle of)- The License plates design on either side of the rear seats is a cloth upholstery. I bought new replacement panels of black to match the other interior elements, but haven't installed. I will include those.- Mechanic built a bypass switch into the heater, as it was not working properly. Honestly, I haven't had it for cold weather, so I am not really sure how much or little of an issue this is.- Tachometeris mounted, but not wired.- Upholstery over glove compartment door, and also upholstered pad in rear window. (They both look ok, but I would change it out for original black if I were keeping the car.)- Some of interior paint was clearly done by hand and has some imperfections, as well as some spillage onto the gas, brake, and wiper pedals.- Some small paint scuffing on edges of trunk interior and bottom of door frames. (You can see in photos) Also, around inner side of gas cap. (Not pictured)- Speedometer shows about 10 MPH over actual speed. All other gauges seem to work fine.
I bought this car as a dream to go back and recapture some magic of my younger days. Unfortunately, I have to give it up far sooner than I ever expected. It does mean that someone is going to get a great deal on a well done restoration job. I have put a reserve on the sale, but it is the exact amount I spent for it. If I can't drive it and have to sell it to cover the medical bills, then I want to see it go to someone who will appreciate it as much as I do.
The car runs excellently, but as a private seller there is no warranty and the car is sold as is. If you buy it, you own the car and are expected to make immediate deposit, and payment in full within 7 days after sale (Certified check, money order, cash, or Paypal only)
She lives in my garage, so I can work with the buyer in terms of pickup date, but payment due date is set. Also, I have previously worked with an excellent shipper in the Chicagoland area, If you are interested in that, I can connect you with them for a great deal.
