What you are looking at is an Authentic Real early production 1965 GT. restored. You will see many tribute GT's. or clone GT's. But you will be hard pressed to find a real GT completely gutted and restored to MCA standards. like this one. Take some time to look at the video test drive as well as the build video. The pictures in this listing are a mix of some from the restoration and some after it was finished. The videos show over a hundred pictures and a test drive. A couple of disclaimers. 1st. the undercarriage is painted with marine grade Chassis Black to protect it. instead of the original Red Oxide. 2nd the stereo is an aftermarket USA duplication. The battery is a Die Hard. Originally the car was not an A/C car so the air is aftermarket. MCA will ding you on four items. Since this car was completed in March of 2013. it has been too and has been judged at 2 National MCA events. In addition. it is a certified restoration. The Mustang originally came from Denver and had serious rust issues. As you will see by the build video. every panel was replaced with high quality OEM metal. not the cheap stuff. It was systematically disassembled and every piece if metal replaced as new. the assembly and repair process is well documented. As many of the original parts were used as was practical. but if there was a question it was replaced. All of the wiring was replaced with new OE wiring and was installed to factory specifications. Each panel was prepped and painted off the car. as you will see. Virtually all bolts. clips. screws and trim are new. Every aspect of the car was rebuilt or replaced. nothing was ignored. Look at the heater box assembly for example. The seat frames and track for example were blasted. painted and rebuilt with factory correct specs. Metal replacement included. both rear wheel wells. inner. trunk panels. rear Quarter Panels. doors. fenders. rear frame rails. rear trunk panel floor boards front and rear. Rear seat belts were added even though this car did not come with them originally. To get the true sense of this Mustang. please watch the videos in this listing. If you are a serious collector. buyer or want a real GT that is virtually a brand new car. this is for you. The A code engine was rebuilt and is bored . 30 over. But the heads. intake. exhaust manifolds. carburetor. hoses. plugs. wires everything is MCA correct. The heads have hardened seats and all new valves. The crank was turned. 10 and the pistons. and connecting rods are OE. The engine is correct for the very early GT's black and Gold. In fact Ford began offering the GT in April 1965. and the build date on this car is May 12. 1965 making it one of the very first GT's produced. It has the correct 3 row radiator with shroud and all correct new or redone brackets and lines. Yes front disc brakes are manual not power. all brake lines. connectors and fuel lines are new and MCA correct. Ford only offered the Mustang Rangoon Red and Red interior in 1965. This has the correct white headliner. and is console car. which was properly trimmed for the underdash blower. Under the red loop carpet it has the sound deadening. It is a standard interior. one drawback from the pony interior. but again everything is correct to MCA standards. the doors and rear quarters were assembled with all of the correct hardware. stops and paper water shields to factory standards. Every piece of rubber is new and OE correct. as are the door handles. The inner doors and windows all have new lock rod clips and window rollers. The transmission is the correct original 4 speed Toploader. rebuilt to factory specifications. and it has the original drive shaft. yes a new yolk and all new U-Joints. It is the original 8 inch rear end 3. 00:1. but completely rebuilt. gears. crush sleeve. seals. bearings everything. Even the backing plates. were media blasted. with all new wheel cylinders. brake lines and correct mounting hardware. It has the OE dual exhaust with correct hangers. trumpet tail pipes and H pipe. with flowmaster mufflers. The emergency brake cables as well as all the connecting hardware and brackets are new and correct. All of the grille and front end components are correct. All lights work perfectly. The tires are new BF Goodrich. correct for the car and all 5 rims are new and also correct. It has the correct trunk tire tie down and mat. You will find a lot of close. or very good clone GT's on e-bay. You will not find and MCA quality car like this. completely rust free. completely new and correctly restored to factory specifications. Look carefully at the photo's and build pictures. This car is driven and has 1. 00 miles on it since completed. It is being sold. because it needs to be enjoyed by someone who will treat it right.
