Brizio has been building Street Rods for over 38 years. All of them are known for not just being showable but driveable, and for Roy Brizio Street Rods, an "endless quest for perfection”. His customers include repeat buyer Reggie Jackson, rocker Jeff Beck, Vic Edelbrock and Eric Clapton. In fact, Brizio built Clapton's first street rod and they continue to work together to this day. The show and drive qualities that define this Brizio start with a heavily chopped Minotti fiberglass 1937 Ford three-window coupe body (now unattainable after Minotti went out of business in 2005). It is the finest Street Rod we have ever seen, the current owner bought the car shortly after it was completed and has owned it since 1999. Next to new with only 150 miles since construction, it is an incredibly tasteful and powerful Brizio classic. The quality and every detail of the build are absolutely fantastic. The ultra-straight chopped top Minotti body is painted a flawless metallic Champagne Beige and sits on a custom fabricated tubular chassis. The chassis is a true piece of art. Every weld has been ground and smoothed, while every component of the custom Kugel coil over stainless steel independent front suspension is either polished or chromed. The 90's ZR-1 Corvette independent rear suspension is finished in the same manner as the front suspension. The four wheel disc brake system is believed to be from a 90's ZR-1 Corvette as are the polished wheels and the six speed manual transmission. The 502/502HP GM crate engine (believed to be one of the first ever installed) is snugly tucked into the narrow front end with an Inglese/Weber induction system sitting on top of this beautifully designed engine compartment. The interior is fully matched with Champagne leather covered bucket seats, and both the passenger compartment and trunk are upholstered in complementary German square weave wool carpeting. The flooring on the driver's side is removable to gain access to the master cylinder and other components. The trunk has the access to the gas tank and battery. This street rod was built for driving comfort: • Tilt steering column • Vintage Air Conditioning • Power windows • Alpine stereo with CD • Classic gauges • Grant steering wheel with polished tilt steering column Since being built this outstanding Street Rod has been on display in a private collection and driven very sparingly. Corvette Mike Midwest has gone completely through the car making sure that it is ready for the new owner to drive and enjoy this truly unique example of Americana art. This car is titled in Illinois as a 1937 Ford with a Wisconsin assigned VIN# This car is for either the serious collector of unique cars or the enthusiast who wants a one of a kind street rod to drive and enjoy. It needs to be seen in person to appreciate the craftsmanship and quality of a Roy Brizio built street rod. We have posted many pictures in this ad to help display this level of quality.
