Description of 1953 Ford Customline

I have for sale a 1953 Ford Customline 2 door. It has the famous Flathead V-8 engine and manual 3 speed transmission and it runs good. It stops straight and in good driving condition. It has dual exhaust that is not too loud and has a great sound. The paint looks very good but not perfect as this is not a trailer queen but has been driven since restored. The chrome and glass looks good as you can see in the pictures. It has been converted to 12 volts for better starting. It is a overdrive car however a 12 volt overdrive switch will need to be installed on the car before it will work. The amp and fuel gauge work and holds good oil pressure. The temp gauge does not work. The front seat has a seat cover over the original material that is tread bare. The rear seat is the original factory material and looks good as I do not think many folks rode in the back seat. The headliner is also original and not perfect but looks presentable. The carpet looks like new. I do not see any rust thru places anywhere in the floors or trunk areas and the underside of the car has been painted and looks good. It has 2 small paint bubbles. One is one the driver side at the drip rail and the other is on the passenger side lower part of the door and both are small and when most folks look at the car they do not notice them. The tires are new and still has the tips on them. This is not a trailer queen but a very good driving car that is ideal to take to cruise-ins and local car shows and just drive and enjoy. I have driving it the other day on a 45 mile trip and it ran great. I have a clean North Carolina title in my name. If you have questions ask them before you bid and I welcome you to come and inspect the car before the auction ends. A $500 non refundable deposit is required within 24 hours of auction end and remainder due within 7 days. I will work with any transport company you use.
