Hasn't everyone fantasized about owning an old school rod at some point in their life? Something fun to cruise the boulevard or the open road with? Maybe one that is a little bit different? One with a flame paint job? Well here is an opportunity to own a beautiful example and have a great time turning those fantasies into realities. A very high-quality fiberglass build, this car is a Good Guys winner in its class. The glossy purple paint with ghost flames really grabs your attention. The 5 spoke wheels are body colored with polished aluminum outer rim and center spinners. The door handles are hidden as is the power trunk latch. This roadster has a stripped-down look, so there is no hood. The chrome and aluminum engine and accessories are on full display and an important part of the vintage look. A vertical radiator grill is held in place by chrome V shaped spreader bars. There are chrome pieces adding splashes of flash everywhere from the door hinges to the large commercial style headlights perched low on the frame and chrome tipped exhaust pipes. Even chromed suspension components add to the style and attention-grabbing look of this car. Minimalist marker and signal lights let people know what you are up to in traffic and the silver frame ties it all together. The first thing you notice in the interior as you approach the car is the La Carrera tilt steering wheel. Then your eyes will probably pick up the billet style turn signal levers. By then, the full effect of the purple carpets, seat belts and dash panel, contrasting with the white seats and door panels with tasteful purple piping will have hit you. A striking and beautiful combination. There is a floor shifter with an 8-ball shift knob just for fun, and the dash has a full complement of Dolphin gauges, white of course. For your listening pleasure, there is a Kenwood stereo, (with a purple display even) and speakers. Overhead, you get a black canvas top in the event that the sun gets too hot, or an afternoon shower threatens to get you wet on the ride home from a club event or weekend cruise. The rumble seat is now a trunk with a vented battery box which provides a place for event and travel stickers. Powering this sweet ride to gather up those travel stickers is a powerful, modern, and reliable drive train, that still manages to retain the classic street rod look. With the look of 6 single barrel "deuce" carbs with chrome air horns, the center carb is "active" where the front and rear add strickly "wow factor". It feeds a 350 cubic inch small block V-8 with a few tricks up its sleeve. The motor has been bored .020 over with a mild cam, Hooker ceramic headers and dual exhaust for nice power and a great sound. The power feeds back through an automatic transmission to a Ford 9" rear to get the power to the ground through 285/70R15 tires in the rear. The car handles and stops well on the boulevard or mountain roads, thanks in part to a drop front axle with 195/60/R14 tires up front and a 4-link rear with coil overs and Pete and Jakes suspension hardware. The undercarriage even looks as good as the topside with chrome oil and transmission pans, and some body color suspension components. This is a great example of a classic roadster, with a unique paint job and striking interior. Come on down and check it out.
