Description of 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible 2-Door |
1965 Mustang A Code Convertible. Strong running original 4 barrel 289 "Special" motor with original C-4 transmission that shifts as it should. Hydraulic top works great and no leaks. Rear window is glass! No leaks from the engine or transmission. All lights, including interior, turn signals, brakes etc. work. Horn and gauges work.Optional center console! Front seats have a seam split. Comes with new door sills for you to install. Have the original owners manual and owners card. Previous owner spent over $9200 on November 2014 on tons of repairs and parts. I have the list upon request but here is a partial sample of things done. Fuel pump filter assembly, Points and condenser assembly, Rad hose kits and t-stat, P/S conversion kit, Trans service kit, Gas tank assembly and sending unit, Fuel lines front to rear, front and rear brake lines and hoses, Master Cylinder, all drums, all bearing kits, front and rear brake shoes and full hardware kit, Rebuild carburetor, Rear end fluid change, shocks, tires, ignition wires and switch R&R engine and reseal, driveshaft, alternator and the list goes on and on. Car drives and shifts really good. I would say that this is a great driver and about a 15 footer. Paint is twilight turquoise metallic and peeling in some spots. Typical light rust spots in common areas. Rear end is 3.00:1 limited slip! Feel free to come and look at her before bidding. I am listing this mustang for a relative. The title is a rebuild due to an insurance claim that did not involve an accident. Enjoy it as is or take her to the next level at your convenience. The description is to the best of my knowledge. Please ask questions as I might have missed something. Car is sold AS/IS. No warranties expressed or implied. Buyer responsible for transporting the vehicle. $1000 non-refundable deposit due within 24 hours of auction close and full payment due within 7 days of auction close. Update: The rebuilt title is due to an insurance claim for water damage in the Orlando, FL area and not from the hurricane. Car was purchased early this year and was checked out thoroughly. Engine and all components are good and in working order. Please feel free to come and see the car and inspect it before bidding. |
