Description of 1955 Ford Thunderbird |
This ad is for a 1955 Ford Thunderbird. I am selling this vehicle for a family that I am very close to. This car was part of a 13 car estate and one of 2 that remain. Their parents passed away and I am assisting them in settling the car portion of the estate. Their parents purchased this car from the original owner and they have owned the vehicle since approximately 1974. The car has been in storage for a few years now. I pulled the car out. had the original 6 volt alternator rebuilt. new 6 volt battery. drained fuel from tank and lines. installed new interior. had it color sanded and buffed. IT is a great original car that has not been altered or mutilated. The paint has a great shine to as you can see. It appears to have been repainted at some point early in its life but the paint looks very nice. It does have some small scuffs and some fisheyes in the paint. The interior is new and is exquisite. The tires are good. It does have the original matching numbers motor and transmission. The car does run and drive well but the carburetor probably needs rebuilt. it just has a little hesitation. It does come with the hardtop which is in great shape. The hardtop does need the rubbers around the window openings. The headliner is in good shape but i do have a new headliner for the top. This car gets tons of attention everywhere it goes. It is very striking and will make anyone proud to own and drive it. This is not a show car but is a great original type car that is very nice. Please call me at 479-841-6718 with any questions and i will do my best to answer them correctly and with accuracy. |
