Description of 1966 Ford F-100 |
Awesome patina! See pictures, very solid truck. Original bumpers, beautiful stance. This thing gets looks every where it goes!! I can't go anywhere without people stopping me and asking about it. This is an awesome truck that can be a daily driver. Very Dependable. Drive anywhere! 1966 Ford F-100 Short bed on modern chassis; frame and suspension is a 1993 Buick Roadmaster with air-bagged springs. Air system works great with dual compressors, independent 4-corner control with wired remote. This truck drives like a car- straight and true, cruises at 70-75 no problem. Has 700r4 overdrive automatic and chevy 350 v-8 (stock) with serpentine belt. Edelbrock carburetor, headers, true dual exhaust and flowmaster mufflers (sounds mean!!) Interior has had sound deadener similar to Dyna-mat added in the floor, inside the doors, back of cab, and roof. Seat belts are lap type and original. Power steering, power brakes. Disc brakes in front, drum brakes in rear. Rearend is original '93 roadmaster which is 4-link and posi traction. Hubcaps are from late 50's Ford. Tires are 235/75-15 Whitewalls. Runs cool in any weather. Electric fan on thermostat comes on automatically when needed. Mason jar overflow. Aluminum radiator. Everything works great except a few small things I haven't gotten around to. Recently developed a leak in the heater core, I have it valved off now. Otherwise heater (fan) works fine, defrost works, wipers work, horn works. There are switch controls in the dash for the air bags but they don't work (easy repair though). No radio although there's 6x9 cut-outs in the lower door panels. Rust-through is minimal, see pics. Worst spot is in front of driver's door jamb, but doesn't seem to affect it structurally. Floor pans are fine. Aftermarket oil pressure, coolant temp and battery gauges work perfectly. Speedometer may work but there's no speedometer cable. Clear Virginia Title in my name, no liens. Vehicle will not be released until full payment is received! |
