1986 is the last year of this bodystyle. This truck was repainted in 2000 by the first owner and the paperwork from it is still in the truck. There are a few small chips on the truck but the paint still looks amazing. The original owner, 91 yrs old, bumped into a pole on the drivers door and his son made him sell it. You can see in the photos where he bumped it, but the paint isn't scratched. The original owner sold it to the second owner on 12/11/2015 With 78,996. I bought this truck from the second owner last week on Sunday 1/28/2018 with 83,993 miles. The only flaws inside the truck are on the drivers door handle and window switch, as you can also see in the photos.
BLOWS ICE COLD AC, like hotel room cold ac. The blue tag in the photo is to show that the air conditioning has been retrofitted and up to date. all window and door seal trim has been replaced. There is NO rattling or noise while driving. The dash, carpet, seat, and headboard look amazing. Windows, radio tapedeck and gauges all work. All speakers are original and work. The cruise control and door locks do not work, but that may be a fuse, I have not checked. The original jack and lug wrench are still under the hood. The original books and papers from the factory are in the glove box.
The second owner had 2 new fuel tanks installed, 2 new fuel pumps put in. The front tank needs a new fuel filter I believe. Sometimes it sputter and sometimes there is no problem. The hoses that you put gas in the tanks need to be replaced, the are collapsed just before the tanks. It just takes a while to put gas in it because of the narrow part in the hose.
The truck runs and drives like a Cadillac. The spare tire is in the bed, I don't have the bolt to lock it in underneath. This truck was bought brand new here in Lexington SC. No rust. It's almost like driving a time machine down the road. Tires have a lot of life left, probably 75% tread life still left.
