Description of 1967 Ford F-100 Custom

Up for sale is a 1967 Ford F-100 short-wheel-base pickup truck. This truck is a solid truck to be 51 years old! This truck is certainly not perfect, but a very good driver quality truck!

The truck has a rebuilt 300 inline 6 motor, three speed shift on the column manual transmission, and 3.70 gears in the rearend. Manual steering. Manual brakes. No A/C.

Nearly everything mechanical has been touched on the truck. It runs, drives, shifts, and stops like it should. Tracks straight down the road. The clutch feels great. The 300 straight six runs out like it should, plenty of low-end torque. I've driven this truck on several longer trips with no issues, the longest was an eight hour round trip. I would not hesitate to get in this truck and go anywhere.

The body is in good condition with patina'd paint throughout. The bed appears to be non-original to the truck as it has 1969 reflectors and has green paint underneath the red patina'd paint. The bed floor has some rust through in the floor. The bottom of the driver side door has rust in the usual spots. The floorboard looks great with one small hole on the passenger side. Cab corners are solid. Radiator support, battery tray are solid. Drip rails are solid.

All of the lights on the truck work, headlights, brake lights, blinkers, dash lights, except the dome light. The heater works.

Truck needs carpet, seat reupholstered, dash pad, window gaskets.

Known mechanical issues:

-The truck has developed a bit of an exhaust leak over the past few thousand miles of driving. The exhaust manifold gasket could use replacing.

-Occasionally the transmission wants to try to grind when going into third gear, I'm not sure I have the shift linkage adjusted perfectly.

-Very slight leak of the rearend pinion seal

List of replaced parts:

-300 inline 6, approximately 8K miles on rebuild

-Radiator

-Radiator hoses

-Heater hoses

-Belt

-Alternator

-Clutc, pressure plate, throwout bearing

-Brake drums, shoes, hardware, wheel cylinders on all 4 corners

-Classic tube stainless steel brake lines, front to back

-Brake hoses on all four corners

-Shocks all the way around

-Axle pivot bushings
