Description of 1974 Ford F-250 XLT Ranger |
1974 Ford F-250 XLT Ranger Camper Special. Original 390 4brl truck with a c6 trans. The truck is almost all original including the paint. It not only has the super rare grabber blue two tone factory paint scheme, but it also has just about every factory option including a 390 4brl, automatic trans, dual gas tanks, air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, camper special package, and etc. it also has cab lights, an updated stereo with amp and speakers, gun rack, diamond plated bed rails, upgraded chrome wheels, A/T tires, and cab handles that can be seen in the photos. As for condition, the truck is super solid. It uses no oil, has zero rust (native AZ truck), starts up fast cold or warm, keeps a constant temp, runs strong, stops good, and overall drives very nice down the road. I've had this truck 70+mph frequently and it drives smooth and straight. Now keep in mind, she's an old girl. She does have her flaws. The a/c, heater, and power steering are inop. I have not looked into the a/c or heater problem because I have no need for them. The power steering had a leaky hose according to the previous owner so he disconnected the power steering all together. I have never looked into fixing this problem either. The previous owner also told me that the front gas tank does not work, and I have never used it. The rear tank works just fine. The truck does also drop one or two drops of oil a week, but that's it. All of the gauges (minus the fuel and battery gage) read properly. These are all minor issues, and do not keep the truck from being a reliable runner. I don't know much about the history of the truck, but here's what I know for sure has been replaced recently:1. Edelbrcok 4bbrl carb with electric choke2. Spark plugs3. Spark plug wires4. Cap/rotor5. Fuel filter6. Air cleaner7. Thermostat8. Trans fluid9. Coolant10. Vacuum hoses I bought this truck to drive around town and use on my family's property, however I have now decided to buy a house and need to free up some cash. I will entertain offers, and if you have any questions please feel free to contact me. I also have a video of the truck running if you would like to see that please message me and I'll send you the link. Thanks -Mathew |
