Description of 1936 Ford 1/2 Ton Pickup

Up for sale is this beautiful ONE OF KIND- 1936 Ford truck - all Henry steel. This is alloriginal metal with very fewrepop pieces used.
The truck is currentlyregistered in CA, as a 1936 Ford Truck. It comes with YOM plates (yellow and Black). I do have a clear title ready to betransferred. Vin Number clear and visible.

Everything has been rebuild or new and with 0 miles of useI am not in a rush to sell so no need to send low ball offers...This was going to be my personal truck so no corners were cut and tried to get it done the best possible way to me.
My loss is your gain. This truck is over 90% finished with all the hard work done.I am selling it to finance another project, but again, no rush to sell. No need for trades.
Dropped yourtransmission, engine, wheels and tight a few loose ends and you are ready to go.
Need atransmission and engine? I do have one available, but it won't be cheap, and IT IS NOT INCLUDED ON THIS SALE. The engine was built turn-key by H&H flatheads and the T5 built by Junkyard dogs....not included with the sale of the truck.
BODY
* The top was chopped 6". Plenty of headroom for me. The bomber seats are on a removal platforms to provide more headroom, if needed* The bed was cut at the front and in back of the rear axle to provide perfect proportions. The bed is 5' with the tires centered on the bed.Take a look at the side skirts of the bed; these were made from another bed to keep all the bead moldings flowing right.* The rear roll pan was made from the original bed's metal floor.* Side windows and windshield operate properly. The side windows have clear Lexan already installed and work properly. All felts and bumper stops are there.* Door locks work and outside lock has a operational key* Note all the hard to find parts are there, the covers for the windshield motor, Glove box door, rear view mirror, matching side view mirrors, window cranks, door handles, grille ornament and it is not broken like most are...even the dome light is there...look at the vintage hooks onthe side of the bed!* Tailgate is operational and '37 Fordtaillights were grafted to the rear bed posts.* The body was left bare metal since that is the look I was going for. It is covered with Gibbs and all surface rust is character for the truck.* All welds were grounded and leaded. That is right, lead was used..old school.* Tailgate and bedsides were pinstriped, as it was the belt molding around the cab.* Hood was painted with "Flying since 1936" on the side. Hood is held in place with side mounted pull locks.* Roof has "FORD V8 logo" painted on.* Pay attention to the wood on the Bed. The "Daddy-o Speed Shop" was carved on the wood. Fully custom made...can't find another one like it.*Fuel tank is two B-24 oxygen tanks welded together. Amechanical fuel gauge was added and a pop up fuel cap was used. All the army markings and inspection tags were kept...There is plenty of room on the back of the frame if you would like to use atypical fuel tank...but how much cooler is this one?* Side wood fences can be removed and use as needed. The oak wood is all new same as the bed wood. Aged using a mixture of oil and diesel.* Wood metal strips are new with all hex head stainless steel bolts.*Front spread bar has mounting tap for passing light. Pictured is a king bee light.* Headlight bar came from a '30 model A. Headlights are '30 model A too* All bolts used wereeither hex head button stainless steel or grade 8* All headliner moldings have be stretched and ready to be installed (not pictured but included).* This truck was meant to have a headliner and carpet but not there yet.however, it is ready for it.* Rear window inside molding has been chopped to fit properly (not pictured but included)* New aluminum radiator with side aluminum reservoir tank is installed. Radiator was fitted to the inside of the grill using original transition sides...if that is notenough...the filler neck was moved to be use with the original radiator cap to fill.....all custom.

FRAME

Custom built bobber style truck frame by Riley Automobile. Owner Eric is a great guy to work with and his frames are hand down one of best out there.

The front end is 4" dropped and drilled I beam axle, spring on top. Tie rod behind the axle where it belongs.

The Posies paralell spring kit is meant to give you a nice ride.

As you can see this chassis will set that old cab down low. Fits under the cab in a channeled fashion, but retains the stock floor/subrails.

Cab was mounted using wood and rubber mounts for additional comfort.

TheCustom built frame comes painted black and with

* front shock mounts

* vega box mount

* adjustable trans mount, (Currently set for a T5 Transmission but can easily)

* tubular mid section

* rear upper shock mounts

* wishbone tabs

* Posies rear paralell spring kit with springs,

* shackles

* U-bolt kit.

* Front 4" dropped Super Bell drilled axle

* Posies spring

* shackles

* Drilled splitwishbones

* steering arms

* tie rod assembly

* forged spindles fitted with king pins,

* spindle nuts washers.

* Ford 59AB motor mounts.

REAR

* Rear end is '46 Ford with open drive. Comes with "save an axle" installed

* The Driveshaft is cut down to 37", not balance ye, since I was going to buy new. It comes with all new u-joints.

BRAKES

* '48 Ford Juice brakes all around. Drums were turned and there is plenty of meat on them. All hardware is include

*Backing plates were drilled front and rear for that traditional look

*All brake lines have been plumbed. All new lines with Willwood valves front and rear. Harley Davison Electrical Brake switch in line...Google it and you will see it is the best.

* Remanufactured Brake/clutch master cylinder onthe firewall. Slave cylinder is new still in the package. Both matched to work together.

*Emergency brake is Ford pistol grip style...love the look of it. Control cables Inc manufactured custom made cables...and yes, it will work

*Ansen hanging style brake/clutch pedals already installed. It is Prep for mechanical brake switch, if needed

*Original Ford Spoon gaspedal fabricated and installed

INTERIOR

* All the inside was covered with SoundDeadenermaterial

*Door Panels and cushions were covered with Army Surplus material. The door panels were carefully made from duffle bags and messenger bags. Kick panels have army bags too.

*Take a look at the adjustable straps use on the fuel tank...more army surplus

* The bomber seats are mounted on removal platforms, and as you can see, they are mounted on sliders so they move front and back

*Parcel fence behind the seat to carry tools small chairs

*Floors and transmission tunnel are made of metal with bead rolls. All the bottom of the cab was painted black to be protected from elements.

*Transmission tunnel was made with T5 Transmission (not included) anddriveshaft installed (included) Plenty of room for pedals. Transmission lever is not included.

* Battery box is underneath thepassenger seat. Meant for an OdysseyPC60 but battery is not included with this sale.

* Gauges work and have been rebuild to work with 12 volts.

Fuel float included as it was matched to work with the gauge, in case you want to install a traditional fuel tank.

Temperature gauge also rebuild and complete.

* Steering column is from Limeworks with arebuild '40 Fordcolumn drop (comes with keys)

*Picture is a model A steering but it was built and mocked up with Banjo steering wheel. Banjo Steering wheel not included with the sale.

*The steering column and Vega box are connected and work beautiful. Very easy and soft to turn.

SOME ADDITIONAL INFO

* Truck and frame were mocked up and meant for a Ford Flathead 59Ab motor with an S10 T5 transmission and an Offenhauser adapter. I wanted to keep as traditional as possible but reliable too.

If you use the same you should have no problem fitting it in as thefirewall/motor mounts were configure for that application. Any other set up I am unsure of it.

It should be very easy to install any other motor/transmission set up as it has a universal transmission mount.

* There is no electrical on the truck

* The last 3 pictures show the T5 and 59AB mocked up in place.

The last pictures shows the relationship between pedals,T5 Shifter and emergency brake (This was a progress picture). Picture before last shows the lakester headers' current condition after being coated.

* The lakester headers and baffles are included. Again, perfect for a 59AB. These were custom made to fit perfectly around the frame, steeringcolumn and yet sit very tight to the body.

* A set of newly black powder coated Ford wire Wheels are included (Not Pictured). Wheels are 17". The wheels were fully sand blasted and powder coated black.

Truck was mocked up with the idea of 17x550 up front and 17x750 for the rear. The plywood wheels were cut to that size.

* Included is a custom made car cover for the truck. Not pictured but included.

* Ask any questions prior to bidding. If additional pictures are needed just ask...ebay only lets me add 24 pics

* I am sure I am missing a few things in here so I will add as I remember.

* Mileage listed is notaccurate. Onlylisted forbay's purpose.
